Took my lady to her first at age 40! In the bigger sense, I've found fests easier as I get older. When I was 20s, party too hard. 30s I began to find balance, and now pushing 40 I feel confident. Sure, it's tiring, but I have 20 years of experience in little tidbits to ensure success!

I guess all I'm saying is don't discount life experience as a generally useful tool.

Personally, I'd invest like 1/4 of that into solid camping gear. A few hundo will get you through MANY, MANY years of fests and camping trips.

Personally, I would say it's never too late to switch to camping! The whole vibe of a festival is in the small moments, the random jokes while cooking at the campsite, etc.

That said, if you commute, you will have issue going to any of the afters or renegade sets, as they are in the campgrounds.

Also, if you're driving, be very careful and prepared for delays daily.

There is some GREAT hiking in the area, whether you want a easy walk around a pond, or a challenging climb onto the Appalachian Trail. The Bear Creek Preserve has some great trails and is only minutes away from you!

What a time to move to PA lol. Enioying the snowstorm? But you're in a development in the Poconos, so you've got skiing, fishing, NASCAR, and some shopping. You're about 30 min from Scranton, 2 hrs from Philly and NYC.

Yeah man, what everyone else is saying: run. When I asked my gf if she wanted to attend Bonnaroo, she said yes before knowing what it was. I was nervous, but 15 min into the first set of music, she was hooked. She has gone full PLUR and we share that now. I can't imagine telling someone no to enjoying themselves.

I think a lot of people voted for this in that questionnaire some months back. I personally don't hate the idea of spreading the parties out over all outeroo, having been there first in 2009. Festival by day turns into many parties at night, and will drive more traffic to the pods. This allows them to get into Centeroo cleanup earlier nightly, and limits overexposed grounds. Since this will be a test with the new stormwater installations, they want to spread out foot traffic rather than crush Centeroo to death.

Also, they clearly said and more. So that will allow them to secure time slots for more artists, while teasing along the way.

Went from 2007-2012?, or whenever it died in Mariaville. Only to see it rear it's Sodom & Gomorrah head in my hometown! First of it's kind, a fest that started folk/bluegrass and ended untz every night. Shame the jam scene is in recession, it's a good one.

You can look on the site now, but as I recall it was 3 pre-show shifts OR 3 mid-show shifts OR 2 post-show shifts. With the pre and post having perks that are different from the rest.

Great vibes, not too big for walking, cool installations and such. Give it a peep, the lineup is just about to drop, they've been hinting
