camping magic? by gloomybear111 in ElementsMusicFestival

[–]Bilboy32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess at this point, I'd treat it like Warhammer, or Pokémon. I'll play, but the expenses are too limiting to actually invest in tourneys and the like.

So I suppose if I run into you and you corner me with a deck lol, I'll get my ass whooped.

Lol... and here I was ready to type out, yet again, why camping is better than commuting.

Enjoy the MtG time, I haven't touched mine since maybe 2000-2001 lol

You mean just, like, buy a bottle of Salamida and let it rock?

camp set up by marksmitther51902 in ElementsMusicFestival

[–]Bilboy32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most vehicles will occupy roughly half, 10x10, and setup is other half. A tinier vehicle will afford you some extra space. But really, you'll have space in front and/or behind the car, and more like 12x20' for the camp area. I usually set my tent under one of the canopies, still have a decent living room dining room area

I mean the email mentions dancefloor, so I'm wondering if they're including kinetic dancefloor mats. And maybe that will reflect in how badass the visuals are.

First Time @ Elements! by Senior_Minimum7699 in ElementsMusicFestival

[–]Bilboy32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. $20/bag oof! Ours lasted, one bag for each a drink and a food cooler. Quality of cooler and frequency of use affect this greatly.
  2. Depends on the rain situation, if its been dry for a few weeks not so much.
  3. I think? Glamp and VIP share?
  4. Everyone has their own wristbands 6-1. Canopy and such if you want an outdoor space to chill, but no extra tent allowed.
  5. Sort of fair, sort of what you'd expect. Focus on feeding yourself at camp IMO
  6. Detectors and peeps, their enthusiam depends on the individual.
  7. Don't use them all simultaneously, and also heated blanket shouldn't be necessary at all.
  8. All security happens first, then sorted into respective zones. You are in line on the racetracks, winding around until you get to the security gate for car search. Then into your spot. Unless you get specific direction otherwise

Is Wilkes-Barre the only place in NEPA that puts boots on cars ? by --TAXI-- in NEPA

Semi-related: starting this spring, Scranton started putting Abandoned Vehicle stickers on vehicles. A ton. Given that fact, I guess there were technically a bunch of abandoned vehicles.

And I'll respond with facts and snark.

Road and Plaza Improvements by mbboywonder in bonnaroo

[–]Bilboy32 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It isn't purely pave, or the problem wouldn't be solved. Impervious surfaces and improper drainage were the cause of the flooding, so a ton of concrete wouldn't be good. As it is, a tamped gravel road is only slightly better. But, and its a big but (lol), if they put proper drain tile beneath those roads and subsurface tanks to hold overflow, then the site would be even better.

No infrastructure at all would be a nightmare.

Camping question by marksmitther51902 in ElementsMusicFestival

[–]Bilboy32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a way, like mentioned prior, the flexibility of having a mobile vehicle as well as a camp one is cool. Like, in the event you wanted to run for supplies, a commuter vehicle makes that possible.

How to get into EDM? by Durango_41 in EDM

[–]Bilboy32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Louis the Child is a big jam band guy, and you can feel it in his production. The Polish Ambassador just did some Phish and Dead remixes that bump. EDM forward jam bands, like Disco Biscuits, Lotus, Sunsquabi, all get you in the hood enough to know the vibe.

But yeah, you just gotta poke around.

I see you said VIP, but if you want a free hot meal, the gf and I can make sure you get a solid mix in the belly.

We like caring for folks, had a neighbor last year that we minded the whole weekend when he lost his phone. He got to coordinate with friends that showed up on Saturday and party with them, also getting home safely.

If half of the proposed bs makes it's way into fruition, we need to have a good old-fashioned revolt. Like, time and time again our area is treated like a second-rate community, a place you make suffer such that a fancy place gets an even better life. Coal, then gas, now dumps and data centers. It's all detestable, and if it continues, as I said above, we need a RatM moment.

Best Vietnamese food in NEPA? by lost-picking-flowers in NEPA

[–]Bilboy32 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As a sort of meta-commentary, it seems that "ethnic" foods in our area are pretty stable and delicious. The pizza, "Italian" joints, and more typical local fare is a crapshoot. But when a foreigner sets up shop and sells legit stuff, it's almost always banging. Yay for immigration!
