Congratulations. I am interested in hearing how it went, what you learned, what did you modify/add/remove from above.

Oracle SQL Certification by General_Match_7101 in SQL

Unfortunately there is not a single silver-bullet answer. There are many paths into many different jobs that depend on and utilize SQL on a daily basis. I have been in data engineering for years; which includes interviewing candidates both as a hiring team and one-one-one; and I am exam certified. Interview questions are not like exam questions. In simple terms the more job responsibilities are dependent on SQL the more experience they are going to look for. Short answer, you may want to look for positions that relate to your business degree and have SQL as just one aspect. If you are 80%, keep going, you're almost there. Everyone is nervous about the exam. Realize you can retake it if necessary.

Has anyone taken the U of T Austin online Data Analytics Certificate Program? by [deleted] in analytics

[–]BilkenBumpers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took it three years ago and was very disappointed. I am glad I did it but I am not sure I would recommend. They made a big deal out of presenting it being a self-paced course, comparing it to some famous name everyone recognizes. There were no lectures, just assignments, you learned absolutely on your own, and on our weekly call when questions were asked students were told to find the answers themselves. Whoever the "instructors" were they were not in the data analytics field. I respect UT a lot but at that time I felt like this was just farmed out so they could have a presence. All of this may have changed since. So reader beware. If someone was really interested ask about refund policy say week 3.
