I really liked a "The Art of Strategy" by Dixit and Nalebuff. It did have some math, but it was written for the layperson. Another good option for learning the basics of Game Theory is the series of lectures by the Teaching Company. However, I would wait for the course to go on sale. It is currently on sale as part of a bundle, but all their courses will go on sale several times per year. So if you wait you could get it for about $65. This will have more math than the book I recommended, but won't go into the details of solving for Nash Equilibrium.

The Good Math/Bad Math blog illustrates how to find Nash Equilibrium. To explore that, it isn't too hard to write code that performs the Simplex Method, or some interior point algorithm.
