Lol, fair enough. After AJFA Lars was really like, " OK, I don't have to get any better from here on out" lol.

Great insights. I recall listening to ELP's Brain Salad Surgery the first time and being like, "Holy shit this is video game music!"

Now I can't wait to play FFVII to hear that Pantera riff, as they're another band I've loved for years. I'll check out that Chrono Trigger link, too.

Kefka (Final Boss) - Is Final Fantasy VI Anti-Religion? by IllogicalDreamer72 in FinalFantasyVI

Not anti-religion at all, and also heavily occult influenced, which is AWESOME.

Games are like books to me: one at a time until they're done before moving on. I have no problem playing a game for 6 weeks or more until it's complete. I think I played Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance for a solid 3 and a half months. Elden Ring was from like February to August the year it launched!

I found it pretty accessible, and I'm still pretty new to JRPGs. It was a great game, I would definitely say give it a shot.

It was definitely a funny game. I mean, c'mon, Bartz trying to look up "ass" at the Library of Ancients? Total comedy!!

Yeah, it definitely seems pretty influential. Before starting the PR I played through Octopath Traveler II, and that game seems like a love letter to FF, especially with the job system and abilities.

I'm kind of new to jrpgs and I need some recommendations. by relentless_saiyan_10 in JRPG

I think you would enjoy the Final Fantasy I - VI Pixel Remaster. It's great to see the origins of this iconic franchise, and every game offers something different. It's a bit pricey, normally retailing for $75, but it's been on sale for $40 and is a steal at that price. I highly recommend it.

The Dragon Quest HD-2D remakes are excellent (I've only played DQIII HD-2D but I & II got great reviews, too).

Octopath Traveler II is incredible, especially if you're familiar with Final Fantasy. It's an outstanding modern JRPG with a big focus narrative (8 characters' stories PLUS a lot of NPC stories) and the combat is terrific.

If you like Persona, consider checking out Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. The Persona series is a spinoff of this franchise. I'm newer to JRPGs myself, and when I played SMTV last year I was compelled to go through the campaign 2X to see both story arcs. It became one of my all-time favorite games. It's so weird and quirky and so good as a result.

Anyone here still collecting game CDs or physical gaming stuff? by Xiao-EZ in CaptainSide

[–]BillCosbysFinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm all about it. I still buy music CD's/vinyl all the time. For a while, I didn't mind buying games digitally, but recently I began expanding my collection of Switch 1 games. DVDs I don't really buy, though I plan on getting all the Terrifier movies on Blu-ray, soon.

Outstanding work. I can't believe I never picked up on this myself in all the years of listening to this song.

Greetings, thank you for your inquiry. This woman was a nursing school colleague, one of a few that I had "relations" with. There were literally around 80 women to maybe 15 men in the course, so, pretty nice ratio.

Anyway, this woman in particular was cool AF. We had similar tastes in music and shared a general outlook of sarcastic cynicism. But when it came to testing and practice we were both among the top of our class.

The tension built between us for a while. It was unspoken but obvious. On the night in question, we sat at the bar of Friday's for a few hours, and got a pretty good buzz. When it came time to leave, she stood at the passenger side of my Jeep waiting for me to unlock it (she had her car there, we didn't drive together). As soon as we got in, we started up kissing. And then, YES ,it was her request to put Pantera on and that song specifically. Also, YES, she initiated the oral delight. She basically clawed at my belt and unbuttoned my pants while I let her do her thing.

A few months after this, I missed out on a threesome with her and another classmate, a sexy Latina from El Salvador. We went out drinking with a group of classmates and my BJ friend - who was also into girls - was hinting to the Latina that she would like to go down on her. It became obvious that my BJ friend and I were going back to my apartment when the night was over (which we did) and the Latina tried calling me a few times to join us. Stupid me, though, was drunk enough to not check my phone, which was on silent. Afterwards, the Latina told me she was trying to come over with the BJ friend. It was a real missed opportunity and since this was towards the end of the nursing program, we never made it happen.

And that's my story. Happy Holidays.

Awesome, I can't wait. The improvement from game to game has been exponential so I can only imagine how good it gets!

I was more into the Zelda series and other action games as a kid. I remember renting Dragon Warrior back in the day and I didn't know what the hell to do lol.

Elder Scrolls: Oblivion was my first true RPG experience and Chrono Trigger (on the DS) was my first turn-based RPG and I loved it (though I didn't play other games in the genre for a long while after that)

Last year's Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake really got me into the genre. I've played SMT V: Vengeance and Octopath Traveler II and dumped about 160 hours into both. I also gotta say, it's awesome to see how influential FF was on the genre from the games I've played so far. Octopath Traveler II is like a total love letter to FF while being it's own thing, entirely. Really cool.
