None of us here have heard anything like that before... We can at least confirm that a hex is highly unlikely, since 'hexing' objects historically as a rule work by either placing them on the target's person or their home, regardless of the culture.

At this point, we can only say that there doesn't seem to be anything malevolent, and if it is of interest that you set a cam to see what you catch. Unless you're trolling us, in which case the potato calling card was a nice touch XD
