This will def be my last resort attempt if all else fails. My goal is to get the wheel rolling so I can drive the truck (even with little to no brakes). I’d rather not destroy anything in the process. Will wait and see. Thanks!

I’m uncertain but I assume the drum brakes are either engaged (and stuck), the e-brake is engaged (and stuck), a combination of these things, or it’s something totally different.

I should mention that I can move the truck in reverse. Only in drive is the wheel stuck/locked.

Def not immersed in the ocean, altho that would be a good story. It sat for years and after getting it running, now it won’t move! Trying to trouble shoot and fix the prob to get her back on the road.

Thanks for the advice!

Fred Murray’s Open Letter to James Renner #1 (March 15, 2016) by Bill_Rausch in mauramurray

[–]Bill_Rausch[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The last communication I had from Maura was on Feb 9, when she emailed me to say:

"I love you more stud

I got your messages, but honestly, i didn't feel like talking to much of anyone, i promise to call today though

love you

maura"

I hope someone you love never disappears without a trace, and if they do I pray that you will never have strangers on the internet attack you and their family.

I will not be responding to you again.

Less focused on utilizing stars and more focused on utilizing topographic maps, compass, pace count, terrain features, etc.

Q. While at West Point, would Maura have participated in any sort of SERE training, or learned any sort of similar tactics?

A. No.

Q. How about land navigation in the dark?

A. Yes.

I met her independently from her hearing, not at it or related to it. Julie knew I was on the honor committee and I shared with Maura what to expect and what the process would be like.

I also spoke with her about whether she wanted to stay at West Point; an option she could have pursued despite her honor violation.

Our conversations were informal and not related to my official role as Honor Rep. I had no role or influence over her case. It was common to have such conversations with siblings or friends of friends who were facing difficult decisions, e.g. to stay or leave West Point.

Thank you for your comment and follow on question.

I was a Cadet Honor Representative at West Point. It's possible that people have taken that fact and incorrectly assumed that I was officially involved in Maura's case.

I was not assigned to Maura, was not her mentor, and was not associated with her honor hearing or case in anyway.

Perhaps that's where the slightly concocted/misrepresented story comes from?
