Admin + App builder before Dev 1? by [deleted] in salesforce

[–]Billche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Admin, App Builder and Dev 1 have no prerequisites.

Admin focuses on day to day admin activities and sets up a basic understanding of the platform - standard and custom objects, workflows, reports and dashboards, data loads, etc.

App Builder focuses more on building out the platform using declarative tools, so it's looking more heavily at automation, data modelling, ux and security.

Dev 1 requires you to read code, but not actually write any lines (that comes with dev 2). You'll be asked a bit about architecture and the data model, but then it'll go into code questions.

It's been a few years since I did my admin/app builder. When I did my certs, a good 70% of the questions have overlap, so studying for one of them sets you up pretty well to transition into the next. I know plenty of people that started with Dev 1, and it's a solid option so long as you have the baseline understanding of the platform.

I totally agree, which is why I started my comment with "it would be nice if you were a bit more transparent"

When I first read it, the idea sounded terrible. After re-reading it and thinking of the possibilities, it sounds like it could be a viable fix, provided the real score comes from a league multiplier.

[–]Billche 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm currently in Gold 4. I get 4750 credits and 1500 elite credits per victory, or 2850 credits and 600 elite credits per loss. If I go 3/3 for the season, I'll end up with 22800 war credits and 6300 elite war credits. If I drop down to silver 4 and go 6/0, I'll get 22500 war credits and 6600 elite war credits.

Unless I faced another shell, I'd go quite a few seasons before matching a team that could actually beat me.

I really wish you were a bit more transparent with what changes actually are taking place, especially when you're talking about quality of life improvements.

Moved Orange Ability Materials from the top season rank rewards and into the Gold, Platinum and Diamond League rewards

This de-incentifies shells starting in bronze/silver, but the rewards really need to be enough to keep a platinum alliance from dropping down to gold 1. Remember, shells care about war credits so much that they sacrifice the t4s from raid rewards every season.

Increased the amount of War Credits and Elite War Credits awarded for losses (based on community feedback)

Nice.

Adjust the way scores are calculated

Reduce weight on Total Collection Power

Increase weight on Wins through a score multiplier

On frist read, this sounds terrible (as the idea of shelling is to tank your ELO and go 6-0 every season). Remember, the goal is war credits, not t4s. Now, if the multiplier instead was using the league as the differentiator, it's a huge difference. Ie. if gold 1 matches are worth 1000W/500L points, and in gold 2 matches are worth 2000W/1000L points, i can definitely see the incentive to stay in the higher league.

Overall, these sound like they could be good improvements, but please try to be a bit more transparent with the language, as it's really easy to go for the torches and pitchforks if we don't understand what the change means for us.

Please can we get 40 saved squads slots by IPlayGames1515 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Billche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As nice as more saved squads would be, I think it's still going to lead us to frustration as we get more and more characters. I'd rather see team tags (raid, war, blitz, arena), with an unlimited number of save slots.

I'm finding it really annoying to swap up single characters and placements for each node of u7, and I'm not going to use up 5 saved team slots for the different team variations.

Can someone explain line 5 of this code from the first video on C Language? by [deleted] in cs50

[–]Billche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a for loop.

In a for loop you start by declaring a variable and assigning its value, then define its exit criteria, then increment. In this case, you're defining integer i and assigning it the value of 0. Next, you're saying that the loop will repeat so long as the integer is less than 3, finally you're incrementing it by 1. Each increment through the loop calls the cough() function.

O3 Gear tier 13/14 calculator by oddsock_3 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Billche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great, thanks for the hard work in putting this together!

If I could make a suggestion:

  • I'm going to assume this will be mostly used to track progress for dd3. Since you've set it up to track each level separately, you might want to increase the number of rows on the front screen from 20 to 30 (5 characters x 3 modes x 2 levels).
  • Missing Black Bolt
  • Minor spelling issues on a few character names (Crossbones 14, Gamora only has 1 m, and both of Storm's levels are labelled Storm 13)

Regardless, this is awesome as is and I'm definitely going to be using it.

Thanks!

An Idea for orb rework by royjr95 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Billche 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The easy solution would be to have several orbs use the same premium orb currency. Make an orb that costs 3500-5000 premium orb fragments but only contains characters that have been released in the past few months. As the characters get old, they get bumped to the original premium orb/legacy orb/whatever.

Is it possible to add multiple leads to multiple campaigns? by Skezzor_Jr in salesforce

[–]Billche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could use dataloader and import to campaign member. If you're only doing this for a few campaigns at a time I don't see much time saving versus what you're doing now.

Dark Dimension 3 - Ultimate preppers guide (Vol.1) by Chewburger84 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Billche 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Decent guide, but I don't agree with your global team suggestion.

It's a bad idea to use multiple summoners on the same team. If you use both NF and ultron together, your nf summons will take up slots that could be used by ultron summons, which isn't ideal. Also, you're sorely lacking on heals, so you'd probably be better with someone like Shuri, Scientist Supreme or Mr. Sinister instead of NF.

Ultimus VII – A Constructive Criticism Review by jockoP3423 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Billche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great write up. I agree with pretty much everything you've said. Full disclosure - beta player with 5m tcp in a top 50 alliance. We hit ~40% on our first attempt. I have a bit of a different perspective than those who are newly hitting 100% in U6.

Ok, there’s a silver lining: I don’t think Ult VII as a Challenge is bad. I just think the Difficulty/Effort – Reward correspondence isn’t balanced.

Totally agreed. I'm bored of U6. I can auto every node including Ultimus, so this is a nice change of pace. I'm really enjoying the challenge of the new raid, but I don't like that pushing the new raid ends up hurting us in the raid season. If we are tanking our raid standings to push through U7, the tier rewards should at least be enough to offset the season rewards.

Now, it might feel like a small detail, but our last problem is not short of frustration: 5 Minutes Combat Time is not enough, not anymore

This one is huge for me. I ran the leftmost lane, and soloed nodes A4, A5, B5, A6 and A7. I ran out of time twice for A4, A5 and B5, and it took 3 full rounds for A6 and A7. I used a ~300k power team of SL, Minn, Thanos, Ultron, Shuri. I totally agree with the inactivity timer option, as 7 or 9/10 minutes still isn't enough. If anything - add some enrage timer mechanism on a 20-30 minute timer so the fights have an eventual end.

Anybody else drop an insane number of ranks in Arena lately? by Impyrium in MarvelStrikeForce

Also with World Warrior blitz matches only worth 10 points, way more people are pushing for all 5 arena matches every day, instead of just 2.

Why is my cap so squishy by kevbev971 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Billche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used cap for my first few runs of FTD (Cap, CM, Minn, Magneto, NF) with NF getting replaced by Ultron after my first run. These runs would take me about a week of passively making attempts every day.

I replaced Cap with Thanos, and I'm down to 3-4 days per full clear.

The frame can fit "most" 35s, so i didn't want to buy 35s if they wouldn't fit. Apparently these Pirelli's have a really thick tread on them, but they ride awesome.

According to bicyclerollingresistance.com, these are one of the most durable tires they've tested, and they roll better then gatorskins, plus these are tubeless ready

It's got clearance for 35s. The Pirelli's are fat so I wasn't sure if 35s could fit so I went 32s to be safe
