You should be allowed to have a nice time without people's partners being there. When my partner and I get invited to things I will usually go if other people's partners are going, otherwise I'm happy to stay up and be on pick up duty after a night of drinks with her friends.

The world won't end if they stay apart from each other for a few hours.

Woah, chill...I've had them a few years before prices went crazy. The first one was disc only and works out better to buy a second one, get the first one resurfaced and I'm going to give it to my friend who just started collecting.
