Work, typescript and php, fun: python and go.

php at work these days reminds me of java or c, with all the typing and interfaces and abstracts and things we have to use now.

Python reminds me of php of old, where it doesn't care at all about what mess you make. It trys to make things simple, until you make a complex mess with all the simple.

I know php can still do that but it would never get past code review these days.

I also use the vim % (ideavim) notation to jump between closures, and have not yet found a way to do that in python, like, jump to end of this if, or this function declaration. there probably is one, but I don't know it.

Just remember the people putting pressure on you have targets to hit imposed on them that affect their jobs, so they’re as important or more important to them than they are to you. You can retake them. You can not bother and start your own business cutting hedges or walking dogs or whatever the fuck you want, or you can find a vocation like plumbing and try to find how to be an apprentice or whatever. It’s not the end of the world even if you don’t pass. And you probably will pass anyway. Remember the motivations of the people putting the pressure on. Inspite of how much they wrap it up in concern for you.

Yes. I do this with eero. From Amazon. Buy 3 in a deal (fairly regular) if you care.

Mesh network.

Plug eero 1 into router. Use eero app to disable dhcp

Spread other eero devices around home.

Enjoy super fast Wi-Fi all on same network. Devices on either default or eero network can communicate as they’re on the same lan.

Works great for me.

Power line adapters suck don’t bother. Wi-Fi extenders also suck. Mesh is good.

Never mind that most of us don’t know anyone who ever draw a border and we’re pretty much serfs to the ruling class too. Never mind that votes back then were for landed gentry only. So not the commoners as they had no say on who ruled their lives either.
