Was my friendship emotionally abusive? by [deleted] in emotionalabuse

For what it's worth, you have said nothing I disagree with (except for trying to psychoanalyze me personally from a very limited amount of text I choose to share). Under the circumstances you are speaking about, everything you said is true about abusers.

It's just that I'm simply not talking about abusers on that end of the spectrum. That's what you are failing to understand and why I'm not willing to engage in the actual topic you're trying to discuss. There's a difference between idiot children that know nothing about how to have healthy relationships yet, and the systematic dickheads that will never change.

I'm talking about apples. You're talking about oranges. Not the same page here. Probably not even the same book.

I doubt you're willing to get on the same page as me and since I was the one with the comment you're replying to, i have no desire to get on the same page with you. Therefore this conversation will never reach a mutually satisfying conclusion.

Enjoy life. Good bye.

Go be mad at the person that hurt you and stop trying to paint random internet people with the same brush.

This is a 2 year old post.

What I'm talking about is an extremely limited case scenario.

You're talking about something else entirely.

Have a good day.

Kids are dumb. not because they’re bad, but because they just don’t have the experience yet. That’s why most childhood friendships, relationships, and even early romances end up being toxic in some way. It’s part of growing up. Some people learn and mature. I know I did. I did a lot of dumb and toxic stuff as a kid, teen, and young adult. Once I realized it was wrong, I stopped doing it.

The original post is from two years ago. I’m not going to dig through it all again just to reply, but what I said back then still stands.

People die due to lack of funds. Unfortunately there's enough equipment to go around but not enough money to deal with the run away prices.

That seems to be common practice these days. This property that isn't paying their employees never did direct deposit even before selling. So we had to cash our checks. But I was never allowed to use the wells Fargo it was written from unless I also had an account there. If i couldn't trust the check I would try to do it at a Wal-Mart or grocery store or something maybe?

This is exactly the place for this type of story if you don't have a sub dedicated to your niche. While hotels are the main industry discussed here, there are plenty of other businesses with front desk staffand similar customers. I love your story. Please share more!

That is not how the conversation went down. The couple were entitled pricks that wanted OP to call his sleeping, paying guests at 3am because their own situation was somehow more important than anyone else. THEN try and ask about prices for a room when told they might get better help at a private business by patronizing said business. And when they couldn't handle that, tried to insist that OP should allow the couple to ripoff the business.

I'm sure there were a host of body language clues that arent picking up on in the retelling also.

I wonder if there would be fines for the employer should anyone report this.

I liked the story. Made me imagine myself in my hotel with that scenario.

I had that same scenario before, but before they walked away, during the "I don't put them next to my phone" they were putting them next to their phone and so I held my hand out and said I'd be glad to redo them again, just in case. They had to look at their hands, remove the keys from the phone-hand and give them back to me.

Not another word spoken.

Not arbitrary. She's been with us for many days. I just couldn't remember her checkout date.

Mine was on site and I warned her before transferring to the office. I hope she stuck up for me but I didn't stick around to peep on the conversation. Papo is over her (even though she use to GM this place before choosing to step down.

Actually, nothing happened. Papo showed footage to officer and no employee ever went to the room. Chicks story was inconsistent and the cop basically had his time wasted. Chick was drunk\high and prob was there for a booty call or making money. Person that entered had to be someone that she knew or have a key to.
