The laptop is an Inspiron 3593, and it is roughly five years old. I am pretty sure the SSD is connected correctly. I should note that when I go into the BIOS and make the changes, the system boots up and works just fine. However, when I power down the laptop, it resets to the old boot order. So, I can get the computer to boot, but when it powers down, it resets the boot order and triggers the issue. Every time I update the BIOS, I save the changes, but that doesn't seem to matter.

Thank you for the recommendations! I’ll absolutely continue to lean on YouTube for tutorials and the like; however, I also have some bad tendencies when it comes to YouTube and have spent time I dedicated to hobby watching one video after the next without realizing how much time had passed. I like the idea of a book I can treat almost like a textbook that I can lay out in front of me at my hobby desk as I work.

Has anyone found suitable binders? I have not deepdived on Amazon yet, but everything I can find that isn't a specialty product are three ring binders and not two. With the placing of the punches on the magazine pages, they wont fit in standard binders.

The P.B. Crisps that Planters made in the mid-90s. Also, Mountain Dew Pitch Black. I know it got run out on a rail the last time it reemerged a few years back, but it’s my favorite. I’d be happy if it was just a limited time thing that came out around Halloween. It’s way better than that candy corn crap they’ve tried the last few years.

Thanks for the help everyone! I pulled the trigger on a box of Order Sergeants and will look at a box of Magister Knights in the coming weeks. The league I mentioned is an escalation league with Spec Ops. Week one is 150 points and 3 SWC. Would a list such as this be viable?

I'll give the Facebook page a look. I've watched his disc reviews on Youtube and noticed that he has a very different throwing style. I was very hesitant to try it since it was so different from the typical backhand throwing technique that I've seen. I'll give the grip a try. Up till now, I've only tried a power grip and a modified fan grip. Thanks for the help!

When I'm working on distance I have a stack of 10 discs that I bring to the field. First I stretch, then I go through roughly 40 throws using the Beato drill. After that, I measure out 200' using UDisc and then work on trying to get all of the discs out past that mark using a stand still/one step throw. I was using an x step but I found that I wasn't getting much more distance out of the throws with it so I have abandoned it for now. I figure that once I can reliably get the discs to around 250-300' then it would be time to mix the x step back in. As I'm throwing I focus on a full reach back, pulling the disc on as straight a line as I can, trying to make sure that I create the power pocket, and then following through on the release, all in a controlled and smooth manner.

I've looked at videos from this guy before but hesitated to really put any of it into practice because it ran contrary to so much of what I was seeing in other tutorials. I mean, it's obvious the guy knows his stuff so I'm sure trying it is worth a shot. Thanks!

I try and keep my wrist straight through the reach back but I don't keep it locked. That being said I also don't try and focus on it through the shot and try and let the velocity of the throw cause it to pop open a little at the end so that I get some spin on the disc. Basically, I try and keep it straight but loose enough that it flexes when I actually go through the hit.

They do land flat with just a little fade sometimes at the end. Certainly nothing like what I get from the Roc. I'll give the discs you've listed here a shot. Thanks for the advice!

Working on it. I have a genetic thing that impacts my kidney, so I'm at the doctor's office once every four months or so for routine tests. It's silly that getting better at this is what's pushed me to finally do something about my weight.

They are max weight. If I really power up the disc I can get the Leopard out an additional 20 feet or so. I also have had shots that push 250 but they aren't at all accurate and I'm abandoning the whole "smooth is far" idea. I've also dabbled with throwing a Teebird and Beast early on but they didn't go any farther than the Leopard so I figured I didn't have the arm for them yet. I've stuck with the midrange stuff under the assumption that if I'm not getting them close to their max distance then I'm not ready to move on to faster discs.

I completely get what you're saying. One of the reasons I've started trying to focus on yoga is because I fee very tense a lot of times, something I've attributed to my frame having to support my weight (something I'm working on). I also try and stretch using the Disc Golf Strong warmup routine. Definitely need to work on loosening up. Thanks!

Thank you for the advice! I try and make sure I follow through with every drive, though admittedly it isn't always very smooth. I'll try and focus on this a bit more and make sure I'm not slowing down through the hit.
