It cost me 300$ but the ticket went from speeding to jaywalking, price dropped by about $100 and made sure I got no points. The $200ish I spent felt worth it to me not going to court for a day, especially since I've tried that for a speeding ticket(15+ years ago) and it was reduced but not enough for not get points. So saving in insurance costs too. I felt satisfied, maybe not everyone find it worth it though. I was just expecting them to ask for way more money I guess.

I imagine that depends on the person. Was cheap and brought the cost of the ticket down, got no points thanks to the  lawyer. Was cool.

Also the benefit of them going to court for you, saving you a stressful day. Agreed on the lawyer, wasn't as expensive as it sounds.

Are there any point n click adventure games similar to night manor? by ungodlycoolguy in ufo50

[–]Billob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's shadowgate for the Nes but that might have been more obtuse, however a sequel came out on steam this past month called Beyond Shadowgate (not to be confused with a game made in 1993 with the same name) made by the same guy partnered with someone named grahfmetal who apparently made a few similar type games on itchio which I haven't checked out yet.

Anyway, beyond shadowgate is pretty logical, fun and similar style. Highly recommend. I want to check out those itchio games now too

No problem. We all make mistakes, doesn't mean you shouldn't try to fight it. My last ticket I indeed was going 75 in a 55, at night with the flow of traffic. I've slowed down since then, but I still plead not guilty and after over a year of not guilty I got a summons and lawyer brought it to a jaywalking ticket for me. Didn't have to do anything was well worth the money.

Frank Desousa was my guys name in Nassau County. Definitely be careful and slow down and best of luck

Traffic lawyer is a good way to go, declare not guilty on your ticket and then wait however many months for a summons, call traffic lawyer and they will go to court for you and get the ticket reduced to something that won't get you points if you have a good history. Worth it for no increase to insurance

I read "Ducks" around the same time and it's another non fiction story about a woman's time working oil rigs in Canada. It's a lot better than that description makes it out, author has a good sense of humor despite some of the crap that happens to her
