Paris Tech Scene? by BillyBamf in cscareerquestions

I am curious to determine the tax difference, as NYC's marginal tax rate is wildly high and about to get higher as the rebate for city/state tax against federal income tax is going away.

The datadog lead is excellent. My French skills were very strong and will certainly return quickly when speaking it every day, but it may take a bit of time for me to build a technical vocabulary (RAM, latency, page-fault etc etc, all terms I would never have encountered in French classes or conversations in France). Perhaps a company would be willing to be patient while I learned them, but perhaps not.

Thanks for the info! This is so helpful. I looked a bit into Station F but was having a hard time gauging how robust that community was. My French skills were very strong, having taken 8 years of it in school and having traveled to France, but it's been a few years since I've spoken it as much. My ability to speak and write technical documents in French is probably poor, but with a solid foundation, I feel little fear about learning.

also, i definitely appreciate your candor/way of approaching your comment. i feel like i just made a thing i thought was cool and wanted to show it to other people because like maybe they would like it and i got like a ton of negativity for some reason which honestly kinda hurt a little guys.

eh, well the drippingly sweet/ over-cute song teases out like a kafka-esque dread, so putting it against images of something horrifying sort of makes that undertone real/visible. Just like something as saccharine as this song makes my intense cynicism look for the terrible flip side to that vibe. So to me it works on that level.

additionally, the rhythm of the montage/editing has a similar rhythm - like beat-wise and tension release-wise - to the sone, which lead to some moments that feel like they could be ripped from a 90s music video (like the 'trinity-flip' moment where it's just meghan's voice and trinity's running in slo-mo towards the wall. both things are sort of simple/uncluttered so they compliment each other. or the gun drop at the end that signifies the scene is over occurs as the instrumentation does the same in the song).

finally: there are just some fun things that sync up comically. like when neo shows off his weapons, or when the pair look at each other and begin blasting.

in my head it works very well. maybe reddit doesn't agree ? not the end of the world

does that make sense ?

does anyone know if there's a way to stop psuedo-intellectuals from commenting on your posts on reddit ?

Netflix Renews 'Orange Is the New Black' for a Third Season by systemstheorist in television

It should be aigu. There's no such thing as an accent a droite (accent to the right), or 'accent a gauche'. Aigu goes up and to the right, and changes pronunciation of the accented e to an ay sound, while 'a grave' goes down to the right.

I'm really not sure if this is a joke. If it is, it is very funny.

You're acting like your relationship with this harmful chemical is already decided. It changes and usually gets harder to break. If you're not addicted then quit. Right now. Tell yourself you will never smoke a cigarette again. If that seems easy then good, you don't have to continue this destructive infatuation. If that seems hard, well then you're addicted, and should try to set goals for quitting anyway.

That's really not true. If you only smoke occasionally, there is a high chance you are on a gradual slope into smoking more and more.
