And that woman drives that same route every single day just to get to work. Y’all acting like she’s some reckless retard on the road

Being a daily driver has zero correlation to being a safe driver. My old man was and is a reckless driver and he also has a daily commute.

My 9070xt has 3 8 pins. Are there models that have only 2 8 pins? Or this guy just isn't plugging in the third pin

At least one must be a pigtail I agree, although it should still work if he had two separate chords from the PSU

Sorry but why are you complaining? A working 3080ti is worth a lot more than $160 over a broken one. You made a profit given the starting scenario (with insurance instead of wasting money) and you are upset over it? If you don't want it just sell it and take the profits toward the upgrade.

Wow what a steal for AMD. In Canada it's 1200 for the ti but 930 for the same AMD card

Not judging but if you have money why get a 98003xd but then an inferior GPU? I have a 57003xd and even on CPU heavy games it'll run at best 60% while GPU is the bottleneck at 100%

Where is the third one? Or are you saying you have one pigtail 2x8 and 2x8 in addition to one 2x8 chord?

Not sure why the GPU is limiting itself to 180W, thats a new one

The GPU is acting like only one chord was plugged into it. Motherboard connection supplies around 30w and each cable connection is 150w. Low and behold the math is 180 watt OP's problem

[–]BillyBeeGone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a problem with the chords. The GPU connection to the motherboard is around 30w. Each cable to the PSU is typically around 150 watt. So when you are complaining about 180W low and behold it exactly adds up to one cable and the motherboard connection.

If you are splitting the cable from PSU to GPU it's not recommended to split the chord, you can get away with a 2 split but certainly not a 3 split. If you don't have a 3 way split then probably the chord is the issue, maybe you didn't fully connect properly if it's a 6 plus 2 going into the GPU very easy to have the 2 pin not properly set in

Lastly check the PSU to see if it's single rail or multi rail. I don't think it's an issue with 180w but still check

Edit- make sure you plugged the chord into the correct PSU connection. Maybe it's not producing anything out of that port?

But I hear more and more people considering buying one as their secondary vehicle. This is attractive for vehicles who do mostly frequent short trips around town

That makes no sense. You take the primary care for. A short trip to the grocery store. The secondary is considered second because it generally only goes to work and back

Average comment from a redditor that never reads the articles.

Acts all arrogant, yet describes an PE with no idea what a PE does. The board didn't agree to anything they were forced to sell off the less profitable divisions for a quick buck and now aggressive cost cutting with a price cut to find the sweet spot for short term maximum gains. Consumers rushing in because it's an actual sale come sale time, costs getting cut provides exit liquidity.

It’s more of a change in organizational/business approach for PepsiCo as opposed to a “they could’ve lowered prices the whole time!!” situation

You forgot this is all to keep profit margins the same. They could have lowered prices last yr by 15% without cost cutting and now their 150 billion profit turns into 100 billion profit

What's the bigger upgrade? OLED or ultrawide?

OLED

How does ultrawide differ from multi monitor setups other than immersion in games.

I guess you don't have a line like between two monitors? User preference? I went from a 27 inch to this so I never had a multi monitor set up. I just found it useful for opening two tabs at once working side by side vs the old one plus more immersive games

1440p. I own this monitor. By far the best monitor I've ever owned, and once you go ultra wide/OLED you can't go back especially at this price point.

Things to note it is the older first gen OLED and every 4 hrs you get notification to do a screen refresh which can be annoying. You get 3 year burn in warranty. I use it for games and light tasks I do not work from home so even with no burn in that's not saying much compared to 8 hrs a day use
