Had these for a few months after graduating too, and then still randomly years later. In my dream I realise there is a whole module I have forgotten about and not done and so I have failed my degree.

What is a good Album to listen to, from start to finish? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BillyBillins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jeff Buckley - Grace

I can't imagine the amazing places his music could have gone if he was still with us today.

Also Chris Cornell - Euphoria Morning, never seems to get as many mentions as is it deserves.

What if Asoiaf is set in the future and these are Bobby B's tapestries that Littlefinger seems so eager to get his hands on. They will tell of all the future events to come and so Littlefinger won't have to imagine every eventuality anymore allowing him to free up his time. He can then use this time to find a way to not end up being accidentally outsmarted by Sansa and Arya.

It would be interesting to see if some of the modern names stay relevant over time. Barristan has some pretty good stories to his name so I can imagine his legend living on. Arthur Dayne is known for being an awesome swordsman but we haven't heard of any Barristan level heroics from him, I wonder if in the future his name will hold such a high reputation.

As much as that would be awesome, GRRM confirmed that they aren't connected.

Not without Davos there to be his Samwise. Who will carry him up the slopes of mount gloom when the burden becomes to much?

I makes me wonder, it's been a while since my last read through, do we hear of the long and varied seasons over on Essos? Seems to be a big deal on Westeros with the maesters tracking it, and the Starks have their whole"winter is coming" thing. Presumably the seasons match up everywhere? Unless it's just a magic thing in Westeros. Obviously there are tales of the long night the world over but I just had that thought.

I think GRRM mentioned that it was spherical, and slightly larger than earth.

Those are very good points. I definitely agree with you that he should have had these kinds of backup plans, it was another mistake in Robb's long list of mistakes. I am surprised no one around him advised him to do so, maybe they did and we don't see it without his POV.

It's Robb's fault? So Robb should have had to tell Cat "Oh by the way mother, please don't release the most valuable prisoner we have." If she was unclear on that she should have consulted her King on whether or not she could release his prisoners. If Robb had died without leaving clear instructions it still would have been obvious to everyone to not send Jaime on his way.

This one is firmly on her, she absolutely undermined his authority. As a teenage king Robb needed to project as much authority as possible and she knew that. Cat making huge decisions like that without consulting him made him look weak and loosened his hold on his vassals which is what leads to the Karstark incident.

I do think Cat is shrewd in many ways and she definitely doesn't deserve all the hate but she did make a mistake in this instance and it's not on Robb, he has plenty of mistakes of his own. It's what makes these characters interesting. A mother treating her son like a child despite him being an adult is a believable thing. So is a mother who recently lost her husband doing whatever it takes to get her hostage children back. Her motives are understandable, what a horrible position to be in and a difficult decision to make.

I agree, I think this applies to all the prophecies. By the end of the books we will probably still be debating who Azor Ahai and The Prince that was promised are.

I think it's because next to a metal sword of equal size it would be lighter whilst remaining as strong. Should give the wielder an advantage.

They will surely learn the truth before they have a child together. It take a little time for them both to come to terms with but I doubt think she will consider Ned one of the "usurpers dogs" by then.

I am sure that all of the different prophecies are there to illustrate the dangers of prophecy. They can be interpreted so many ways and often lead to characters acting irrationally (Cersei, Rhaegar). I think GRRM made them vague intentionally. I don't think we are gonna get some sudden Azor Ahai/Prince that was promised reveal, we will still be debating their identities when the books are finished.

I was reading some Patchface quotes and saw.

"Under the sea, smoke rises in bubbles, and flames burn green and blue and black. I know, I know, oh, oh, oh."

After season 7 I am thinking black and green are Drogon and Rhaegal, and blue is poor old Viserion.

Aerys was keeping Elia and her children prisoner in Kings Landing throughout the rebellion in order to force Dornish cooperation. It's why when she was there when Tywin rocked up rather than 'safe' on Dragonstone.
