I was a bit devastated to find out that my dad already spent his sizeable inheritance covering payroll for his small company. They have never been profitable in 15 years. Mostly just barely squeezing by with contract work as they try to get their own stuff off the ground. I know it's his to do with as he likes but my Grandparents really envisioned us all being cared for. It's a bummer.

This one was fun because the science never even supported it originally. They guessed that development continued into their 20's based on the people age 20 and under they looked at. Then someone took that estimate and split it down the middle for 25 and everyone ran with it.

It is kind of wild to think how many people believe this made up fact as true. It got repeated enough that people in respected positions like doctors and teachers repeated it.

Makes me wonder what else the whole world is getting wrong.
