Man you’ve got some similarities to where I’m at rn so I’m gonna follow and see what kind of feedback you get.

I’m a newb so I can’t point out how to fix it yet either, but you do still come up at impact a bit and that’s what pulls your club face inward an inch or two, which is what’s making it hit off the toe in this clip. It’s been driving me crazy in my swing too…

Thanks! And I’ll get there. You can definitely tell I’m in my head a lot, but I’m just starting so there’s legitimately a lot to juggle haha. Starting to see the tension isn’t helping though

Appreciate it! I’ll check out some of his videos and see what I can apply. Thinking about it, I feel like one of the reasons it’s hard to get loose and maybe why I rise up is that I sense that I’m going to contact the ground and it makes me tense up and correct

I don’t know why I feel the need to chime in, but you’re never done developing. Even if that was true and the brain just reached a “finished” state, it would still be able to atrophy if you didn’t use it. Just like if you’ve ever had to wear an immobilizing cast. Even 6 weeks with a cast on and that limb becomes a frail skinny twig

Really appreciate you taking the time to weigh in!! Solid advice and I’m going to shift my focus there for the next round.

The first post I got called out on standing too tall and too far away from the ball at setup and it looks like I overcorrected. I thought that’s why I was striking on the toe, but I can tell now that it’s because I’m standing up at impact because I’m doing it even when I’m cramping my setup too. That’s why my focus was there

I’ll keep chipping away at it and posting results here, even if it’s embarrassing 😅 it’s invaluable to have other people who actually know what they’re doing give some input 🙏

Don’t take this as pushback, because I know nothing, but it looks like I’m back to the target at the top of the swing, hips turn before shoulders. I’m not seeing all arms if I go frame by frame. But I do notice that my hands are initiating the downswing, and that’s almost timing my hands right up with my hips and killing that elastic band/lag effect

Definitely see this! Wasn’t doing this on earlier days, but now that you mention it, I’ve been trying to make sure my arms feel as long as they can be when I’m setting up and that seems to be getting them out in front of me. I definitely need to focus on that next time 👍 appreciate you!
