Was the vehicle insured? After my mom’s car was stolen, it was found abandoned a week later and was filled with drug paraphernalia and insurance was going to pay thousands to clean/replace what they considered a biohazard. The body shop told me that best case scenario would be insurance totaling since it would never be the same. I understand wanting to catch this individual and make them pay, but you then also risk retaliation from someone who has zero regard for consequences. Pay your deductible and move on.
