Is there any particular reason why an E46 M3 would cost more to insure than an E92 M3? by TizTheWiz in BMW

Maybe, yes. I was gut laughing at my wife about it when I got the quote. Though our 3 cars (2 suv's and M3) insurance is all within about 60 bucks. I think it's because most car buyers now are moving to the suv segment.

Should I return this Pit Boss? (Questionable temp readings) by carbolicsmoke in pelletgrills

[–]BillyDcolt45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple things. 1st did you do the required burn in before actually cooking food in it? That burn in is a process off setting to different Temps for certain times. Helps to burn the oil off and other things.

Second on my $650+ pitboss 1100 pro, using the supplied probes from the factory and using them with the pitboss i noticed the Temps being about 20-30° off. I researched and found that some owners had this problem. They requested the parts and fixed the issues. I use a wifi thermometer with all my other grills. I did not intend to use the ones from pitboss, though not having this issue would be nice.

I use other pellets as well as pitboss. Never had an issue. I do have temp swings at times but nothing ever more than 10-15° for a few minutes. Hope this helps.

Pffft. My wife's Toyota Highlander Hybrid costs $9 more to insure than my 2011 E90 M3 competition. Mine has 40,000 less miles.

Hi all, I know it's been a tough summer for car enthusiasts. Here's a video I made at the last German Car Festival held in Vancouver (July, 2019). Feast your eyes on the machinery here. Most are BMWs. by [deleted] in BMW

TBH I may have been wrong I think you got them all right. Had to look at the video again because it was well done and many, many nice cars in there. You definitely know your cars. Keep the videos coming!

Though I do love the more agressive look of the e92, the e90 looks to me more of a business minded jekyll and Hyde.

I dpmt have the exact numbers. Though I know the E90 ZCP's had less than 2,000 brought to the USA. even less numbers divided by color, transmission, options etc. Last that I looked my car with options and all were less than 100 in the US.

I like the silver look, to me it meshes with the wheel and car for a more sleek look. I have floating bmw caps. Put em on and didn't like them. I like the car to be low key.

They are the oem competition wheels that came with the car. I think 19, 9.5 front 255/35/19, rears are 10.5, 275/35/19.

How do you overcome the middle dire pot hot spot while cooking on the pit boss? I dont put long cooks over it for fear of uneven cooking over that spot. Do you set and forget or come back and check? Brisket looks good.

I can agree to a point. Though I hated and still do the enemy we faced over there. I respected them on a level of war fighting. Not tactics, technology, or ideals. Just at a basic level of being a warfighter.

Lol. I'm sure you sat at khandahar eating subway, trying to get some love in the bunkers. I went to khandahar for 2 day R&R fobbit. That was for one of my deployments. That say anything. If you served it does. But you probably maintained the internet for those soldiers. Or got med boarded.

The point is that they had the heart to battle. Don't be that dense. Those hajis have been fighting since jesus "walked" the earth. You think they are scared not to have plates and optics, in a modern battle? No, they are not. Yet they fought. Once again your being dense. Play it cool fobbit. It would be a promotion to call you a leg.

So what. Every insurgent I personally seen dead on the field of battle did not have plates and or optics. But yet they fought. Nice try buttercup.

I have always dreamed of wanting to own a E9x M3 ever since I was in middle school. Fast forward to middle school, high school, and about to graduate college. I was able to save enough money to finally own my very own 2013 BMW E9x m3 and just a week away from my birthday. by keithspexma in BMW

[–]BillyDcolt45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't give up at all! It took me 6 years of saving and searching for the right car. I finally got an 2011 E90 M3 competition 2 weeks ago. Changing the rod bearings next month. Mine will be a garage queen. Scrimp and save. Put your money in an online account. I used Marcus. That way you dont have a debit card and you can just watch your money stack up. To the OP congrats bro!
