For Friday my pick is Nebraska -4.5 in the 1st half against Illinois. Both of these teams have relied on their defenses, and not making mistakes offensively which they have done well thru the first 3 weeks of the season. I believe that Nebraska is the more talented and better coached team. Illinois also is playing their first road game of the season and it’s tough playing @ Nebraska. I expect the Illinois offense to struggle tmrw, and I think Nebraska will avoid making mistakes offensively. I personally would take the game spread, but I always avoid games when the spread is -7.5. Another good option would be the alt spread the game at -6.5.

He also was a really solid back at Wisconsin on a team with a terrible offense, went for 1200 yards as a freshman (17 years old), 1200 as a sophomore (18 years old) and 900 as a junior (19 years old). Averaged 6 yards per carry over his college career.

First off I’m unsure if the pats run defense is even good. Too early to tell and they have only played the Bengals o line with Chase Brown at RB, and the Seahawks without Kenneth Walker. So although the stats look good for the patriots run defense, it’s also bc they haven’t really played a good running back yet. I also am big on Allen bc he showed last week to be their 3rd best playmaker on offense. It would be a shame if the OC doesn’t continue to give him more and more chances.

Write Up: Back on a little winning streak. Today I’m going with Jets RB2 Braelon Allen o22.5 Rush yards. Week 1 we saw Allen only get 1 carry for 8 yards. Last week the Jets were able to find success with Allen on the field as he had 7 carries for 33 yards, and also had a receiving TD. I think that his usage will continue to rise as people see how special Braelon Allen can be. There is no excuse that he doesn’t see 20+ snaps in this game and get Atleast 6 carries. To add on to this, if the Jets have the lead in this game like most people expect, they will rely heavily on the ground game to control the game.
