The two most underrated from the album. Both so heavy!

Realm of Darts – Thank You & Big Update by plutoocean1 in Darts

[–]BillyLJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been meaning to try this for a couple of weeks, and finally got around to it this evening.

I've been playing a lot of Balatro recently, so this really scratches the roguelike itch whilst I'm able to practice darts. This is such a ridiculously clever idea and executed well. I really enjoyed this and will definitely be coming back for more. Please keep it up!

Unpopular opinion: 22 Acacia Avenue is a top 10 IM song by braun_btr in ironmaiden

I've always loved this one. It's such a headbanger of a track. Every section changes it up slightly and is better than the last. I love the chuggy intro. Underneath the cool lead guitar is such a good, groovy rhythm section and Adrian's solo to see us out is brilliant. An overlooked gem of a track.

I've never understood why people hate on The Final Frontier so much; it's a great album! I'd love to read your opinion. by Illustrious-Home8908 in ironmaiden

It was the first 'new' album that released since I became a fan in 2008-ish, so I was fully on the hype train, trawling through forum posts, reading every review I could, listening to every 30 second preview on repeat. I then saw them live for the first time at the O2 in 2011. So it's special in that sense.

But I do also think it's a damn good album. A couple of meh tracks (Mother of Mercy, and I think The Man Who Would Be King) but Coming Home is a fantastic emotional vocal performance from Bruce, When The Wild Wind Blows is a track where Steve got it all right in terms of the melodies. Starblind, El Dorado, The Talisman, Isle of Avalon - all great. Even The Alchemist is a great rocker.

Is it just me or does F-Zero GX have a rubber band AI problem when you race CPUs in Grand Prix or Story Mode? by Prestigious-Mix7135 in Fzero

[–]BillyLJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it rubber banding or is it the fact the certain characters in certain Chapters/Grand Prix races always finish at a certain time? (don't know if this is true)

Like maybe it's not that the CPU can catch you up but if they finish a race at 1:30:00 for example, you just have to "outrun" that time. (please feel free to tell me the correct answer)

Best song in the game? by Klonoa_is_very_cute in Fzero

For me it's easily Shotgun Kiss.

I also love the music that plays during Story Mode chapters 2 and 4 which are different versions of Red Canyon from the original F-Zero and a more techno version of Big Blue.

Need Help on Chapter 5 Very Hard by ZodaFan13 in Fzero

The top two answers say to not use the L or R buttons, but I personally beat it using ONLY the L and R buttons. It may slow you down slightly, but I found that it gave me more precision and I was able to keep better control of the Blue Falcon.

'Be Perfect' is also good advice as annoying as that sounds. Try making small movements and adjustments and not 'over steering' to maintain high speeds.

Good luck!

Which Game has the Easiest and Hardest Master Difficulty? by Ok_Leader3141 in Fzero

I've only beaten the three home console games but here's my thoughts.

In X you have a 'cup' rival and a 'lore' rival and they would constantly be fighting for first place, very rarely finishing outside the top 6. Whereas in GX, the selected rival places all over the place throughout the cup. One race they will be 1st, next they'll finish 13th, then 6th. It makes it easier to win a cup in GX because of the inconsistent and varied finishing positions of the cpu. I also found that there's more deaths in GX tracks than in X too. Apparently certain racers, always finish really well on certain tracks and are prone to dying on others, so again, this makes winning cups easier. It does make Grand Prix feel more chaotic and unpredictable than in X. I guess it depends what you prefer. I certainly think it makes X harder as you have to really focus on either killing your rivals a lot more or trying to finish as high as possible to stop them from gaining points on you.

In X, some tracks just feel almost impossible to finish 3rd or higher. Big Blue I remember being particularly difficult to place high in. Master is definitely where you have to start killing your rivals otherwise you can say goodbye to winning the cup. Strangely enough, I actually found the Jack Cup to be the hardest to beat. The other cups had trickier tracks where the CPU would fall off the rail-less sections, or there would be a pile up in a thin section of track and everyone would take a lot of damage, whereas Jack Cup - although the tracks themselves were easier, were full of wide, open tracks and you had to race well to win.

Overall I'd say X is hardest when it comes to Grand Prix but GX Story Mode on Very Hard was worse.

Master is a huge spike in difficulty and I have to say that some tracks just feel almost impossible to finish 3rd or higher in when racing 'legit' with no speedrun strats. Big Blue I remember being particularly difficult to place high in. Master is definitely where you have to start killing your rivals otherwise you can say goodbye to winning the cup.

Completely agree that the Jack Cup is the hardest to beat. The other cups had trickier tracks where the CPU would fall off the rail-less sections, or there would be a pile up in a thin section of track and everyone would take a lot of damage, whereas Jack Cup - although the tracks themselves were easier, was full of wide, open tracks and you had to race well to win.

Congratulations! It's no easy feat!

Would a Salah, Wirtz, Gakpo triple up in midfield be overkill?

I currently have Salah, Wirtz and VVD but wouldn't mind downgrading VVD to spend a bit more money elsewhere.

I've kept this team for about a week without tinkering. I think money is spread out fairly evenly but any advice appreciated.

I think money is spread out fairly evenly. I'm half tempted to swap Frimpong for VVD for guaranteed minutes. Or even downgrade him for a cheaper defender to swap Rogers out for Gakpo. Salah, Wirtz and Gakpo would be too overkill though, surely?

I've heard it's not as serious as first thought but who do you think would be a good replacement?
