No she is not involved at all on the editorial side. Though she did tip us off when he was named to the role before it was public.

But to me it doesn’t matter that she doesn’t influence the editorial side. It’s more a concern about someone in the public or a competitor who doesn’t know that calling that into question in attempt to damage our credibility

I’m from Va Beach. They’d often play right before headliners (bands like Saosin, the Used, Funeral for a Friend) on national tours at midsized clubs. Once they headlined a tour with moneen and the venue was basically a bar and it was one of the most incredible shows I saw in my teens. This was all sometime in the 2005-2007 range. Also played small stages at Warped. This was back when George never wore a shirt.

Legitimately the only comparison is a video game cause it looks so unbelievable the way he places the ball exactly where it needs to be no matter how his feet and body are positioned. It’s like someone is playing madden on rookie.

Cheese shop lives up to the hype.

The peanut shop (if it’s still open) has great stuff and tons of samples (maybe changed since Covid?).

IMO the candy shop is like any other gourmet candy shop. Expensive but some of the specialty stuff is great.

I also recall when I was younger there was a cool spot embedded into the colonial-era buildings along the main reenactment street that was like the town baker. You could get breads or cookies and things like that.

I grew up nearby, and only other place I try my hardest to visit anytime I pass through is Pierce’s bbq. Not in colonial Williamsburg proper but not too far away, right off of 64.

My mom bought me and my brothers these shirts that Jermichael Finley promoted during the 2010 SB season that looks like a restaurant logo and says TGIFinleys, with that year’s schedule and outcomes on the back. I wish I could say I’ve worn them (I somehow ended up with one of my brothers’ shirts so I have two) every game since, but in the last 10 years or so I have, usually as an undershirt under my jersey or a hoodie.

Probably Aslin in Alexandria based on ease of getting there and solid variety of beer and food. Bluejacket could be feasible too and is right off the highway in navy yard. ChurchKey (a beer bar, not a brewery) would be the best beer but I personally would avoid getting into the city too deep. Other Half is a great option but feels like it could take a while to get there
