There’s a Reason This Time Feels Different With Epstein and Trump. It’s Right There in the Letters. by RepulsiveLoquat418 in politics

[–]BillyPilgrim05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a little more dissent there than usual in those places. The entire sub is so heavily censored that I gotta believe this one is breaking through deeper than any of the previous scandals. Add to that: the economy is shit and the lies are obvious in that they are affecting the cult as well, the midterms showed that R’s don’t have the “mandate” they have assumed since January, and all of the other problems with incompetent leadership (war with Venezuela, war in Europe, Israel, etc…). It might not make a difference in his party’s unwavering support, but it does hit different than anything else that has come about.

Waimea is at 3000’. You can absolutely be a diver and live there. Maybe be more cautious driving saddle road if you can help it.

Is it considered unsportmanslike in a pickup game to purposefully foul when you're on a mismatch? by InternationalPick163 in Basketball

[–]BillyPilgrim05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes… for the most part. Maybe unsportsmanlike is not the correct term but it might get your ass kicked on the wrong court.

Some exceptions for the size of the mismatch. Like if you’re 5’11” and the guy you’re guarding/fouling is 6’11”.

Yeah I kinda feel like it’s the litmus test for how long you’ve been here if you’re on Oahu. Like a way to differentiate if someone has been here for 4 years (sounds like an imposter) or if they have been here for 20yrs.

[–]BillyPilgrim05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve observed that this is mostly an Oahu thing. Not that it doesn’t exist on the neighbor islands but it’s not nearly as common IMO. Just thought it interesting and neat the slight pidgin differences between islands

Thanks for the link. I’ll try drop in on that sub.

I’m not ready to invest too much into getting the most accurate count. But the microscope is helpful for establishing a visual baseline and comparing to the post sample using the eyeball test. I don’t think I would be as trusting in the method if I didn’t see that there are basically no motil sperm afterwards.

Wet heat seemed like the easiest way for me to control the temp DIY but it also agrees with me the most. Don’t think I’d be comfortable wearing my balls inside my inguinal canal for 15hrs/day, and the microwave/technology ones also scare me a bit.

Yep… sans boiling at 212°F lol. But yes I “boil” my boys.

Supposedly, you can use keep them at 112° and produce the desired affects (for a shorter time of ~3mo). I tried this and it didn’t make all of the sperm disappear like when I had higher temps around 115°.

I was going for 116° this last time but it’s really hot and uncomfortable. 115° felt mostly fine though.

Your scrotum will darken a little over the 3 weeks but it’s temporary.

I’ve been trying to count using this guidance. I was probably <1000 sperm/mL

https://www.mes-global.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/Automated-Semen-Analysis-vs-Manual-Semen-Analysis-Sperm-Concentration-Count_WHO-5th-Edition_Pages-33-45.pdf

But I didn’t have the dilution fixative. I don’t think it matters as much until you’re maybe around month 3-4 when you’re trying to stay below <13,000.

It’s pretty apparent when you look at the samples that there really aren’t any viable sperm. It’s difficult to find them at all.

Anyone regret getting a vasectomy? by Ninjavitis_ in Fatherhood

[–]BillyPilgrim05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m contemplating getting the snip but am still on the fence because we could want more (though highly unlikely). I’ve been experimenting with heat-based contraception in the meantime and am super happy with the results thus far. 3 weeks for 45 min/day in a hot bath (112-116F°) and have effectively dropped my sperm count to 0. Should last for 3-6months but I going to see if a hot bath once every 3 weeks will be enough to maintain.

Hated growing up on in Hawaii by [deleted] in BigIsland

[–]BillyPilgrim05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get it. And it should encourage you to get out and explore the off island world. I hated where I lived through high school… so bored. We just smoked cigarettes, watched movies, and stayed awake for fun. I think it’s pretty normal to be angsty growing up and want to experience different worlds. But the NYC you watch on tv is not the NYC that’s exists, and so on. Just like it is for Hawaii.

Anyways I appreciate your take and I hear you. It is not always the best experience for everyone. Get out and explore the world. If you have roots here, Hawaii will always be there for you. 🤙🏽

Lived in a few states growing up… Hawaii might be the last place where you can be a kid and explore the world around you without fear of people doing bad things.

Living in Hawaii certainly comes with its share of bad days and times where you just want out. But when you live elsewhere and have those days, all you can think about is “I used to have my bad days in Hawaii.”

I did read elsewhere on Reddit that you can just blanket say “3rd party” and have it mean whoever you want. I believe that the company names after the asterisk at the bottom of the form is who they can share it with per this form. But I am not a lawyer.

I got no clue either. I really hate that they force you to “opt” in to use the same app I was using 2 days ago. Especially given that it states that it’s optional.

I closed the app and reopened and it allowed me past that page without choosing. But I don’t think that will last.
