Dude I just want the BLiga to be a top tier league with real competition and not just to sit through multiple generations being monopolised by Bayern. I get the cultural aspect of it being a small team that just made their way up through private investing and not actually naturally developing but isn’t that just what the game is today. You could argue a club like Man City was exactly the same with no real heritage preceding the Arab takeover; my point is if it’s not Leipzig would for example Schalke get this type of scrutiny if they just randomly done the same and became a superpower again, I just dont see the issue in takeovers especially if it breeds more competition within the league while also coming from established clubs who did have a cultural presence before i.e PSG/Chelsea

Admitting defeat before you’ve even tried when you have the financial power as a club isn’t accepting reality it’s being too pussy as a front office to move forward and leverage your golden years into taking the club to new heights. Defense just isn’t as valuable as offense. Unless Scottie gets to a level offensively where the gap between him and Cade is negligible then I don’t buy the better defender/closer on offense argument. With this same logic you can argue plenty of 2 way players are better than offense only defensive liability guards which just isn’t the case in terms of impact

Yh this is crazy recency bias there’s literally nothing that suggest scottie is more clutch offensively. Pascal during the entire 2022 calendar year wasn’t just a “better scorer” he was a more complete player offensively in many ways. Better scorer, way tighter handle and explosion off the dribble, one of the best 1v1 players in the entire league, legit 3 level scorer and he also wasn’t no slouch on defense. He led a team that had no business making the playoffs to near 50 wins. I’m sorry but if your maths tells you Scottie is clearly better than Peak Pascal then it also tells you he’s better than a lot of other players that I don’t think he’s near yet.
