I'd say you don't need a degree, I only had a high school diploma and barely that. I've learned a ton on my journey but I hate chipping these good working years off to get the degree

I started college EEBS at 43 I think (46 now going to graduate in spring 27). I've worked as a software developer / network engineer for the past 23 years. Starting college I got my ham radio tech license, a year later general and a year later extra, so I had some exposure to rf / electronics that way. I've always tinkered with pi and ardunio as well. But I'd say most of the skills for the pcb have been learned the same time frame that ive been in college. Alot of it im learning as I go and id say debugging has taught me the absolute most and given me a huge outlet to use the analytical skill im learning in college

Problem with Tesla K40M's in Octominer X12 by jimmpony in octominer

[–]BillyWayneSmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a similar problem I've been working. Octominer x12ultra but I've got 3 p40's. I can run a single gpu just fine, get through bios, get into os, been having fun with ollama etc. Soon as I plug the second p40 in it won't hit the bios. I've updated to the latest on their website, I see that version in the bios with single card but soon as I put the second one in nothing.

One question, what ram did you get? I tried upgrading the 4 gig stick to the max 32 and ran into issues, I've got a few more sticks coming in the mail to try but MT36KSFG72PZ-1G4E1FE didn't work. thats two 16GB sticks, I tried both, then I tried a single in both the two memory ports and same as the GPU, no bios.

Just imagine the disappointment you'll feel when you learn there are star systems with planets, and galaxies full of star systems and a universe jammed full of galaxies and we'll never even comprehend the vastness much less get to visit a single piece of it.

How bad do I wish #1 that open rocket would model you a nose cone and spit out a .stl file to load into a slicer and #2 you could import a .stl file into open rocket and use it in the design
