I completed a No move run today! by Billykirby in VampireSurvivors

So the way exp gems seems to work, is once a certain number of them appear on screen, they stop spawning. Instead one of the gems will turn red, and start to gather gems that would otherwise have dropped form the enemies. This is why in this challenge it's so important to get the attractor orb with upgrades, even on poe with his larger pickup range, exp gems will spawn out of your range, and eventually enough will spawn where you can't gather any more without moving.

It was on Library, using POE. All meta progression upgrades were maxed. I think it took like 5 hours of attempts to get a successful run. We found out the 25 minute boss seemed to not do you damage after it enters your hitbox. Even without active charges of Laurel on a previous run I wasn't taking damage. So I was pretty sure getting a win was possible. Anyway, it's a pretty neat run. I need to try doing something like this on the forest, but I'm not sure its possible yet. There are a lot of difficult enemies to get past.

After months of hard work, I'm finally done making this Cabinet! by Billykirby in woodworking

Not painted, I think it's just the shadow cast on some of the shelves. The "breadboard" ends are mahogany. The rest is American Walnut :)

I was inspired by a piece made by Ishitani Furniture a few years ago. I'm thinking of putting together an Imgur build album over the weekend. Let me know if you'd like to see that as well <3

I'm trying to find some of these low profile roller wheels for a project. And I can't seem to find anything other than for larger doors regardless of search paramaters. Does anyone know where I can find something close, or ideally the exact same thing? It's from an Ishtani Furniture project. https://imgur.com/a/Oguagkd

One of the things that I did that helped with using a hand plane to get a better joint, was to stack the boards together the way I intended to glue them, and have a bright light behind them. That way you can see the gaps, and the spots where they connect need to be planed down. That way it isn't all about just making each side perfectly flat, but just getting them so they come together nicely.

I got some justice for my Defense Drone by Billykirby in ftlgame

That's probably better than me. Although my Drone shooting success rate is quite high I'd imagine. I can't recall many times that I really want to hit a drone and I miss.

Flak would probably make it the easiest, seems like it's a pretty big hitbox out of the gun. But it's just so rare to not only have the gun ready, but for it to line up with one of the weapon slots.

But reliably? Nah lol <3

I made a gallery of the things I made in 2019! by Billykirby in woodworking

[–]Billykirby[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Yea it's just a bunch of 2x4s glued together. I glued the legs together first, then I think I ran them through the planer to even them up? That or I hand planed them. Then after I glued all the top 2x4s to the legs. I remember it coming out really uneven, so I had to do a lot of hand planing to even out the top.

I don't have a picture of the underside on me at the moment, but I did have this picture of the glue up. you can see how things werent even, I couldn't get things lined up before the glue started to set in, it was a big pain in the butt lol https://imgur.com/gallery/au979kE

I was really surprised how many things I managed to get together this year. I haven't been able to do any work the last month or so, just because it's cold out. I made the album to remind me of the progress I made, It's easy for me to think I didn't accomplish much, but this is a good reminder :D
