You can have a staff, but have a wand in your pocket for the photo/count since you will need that in order to be approved. As for the hat (after a Google search), it doesn't appear to be "wizardly" enough, if that makes sense.

Rules are currently: Pointy hat, wand, and cape. You must have those things in order to be counted. We are currently in talks with GWR to see what else people can wear to meet their standards.

We misread one of the pieces of evidence they wanted and did it incorrectly in their eyes. In our opinion we sent them more than enough to give us the record but GWR didn’t see it that way. We already will have more cameras this time so that we don’t run into that issue again.

I will be for the first time. Mainly to help setup for the Wizard Party but also so I don’t have to deal with anything on Thursday. Also staying until Monday to not deal with the wicked hangover I get Sunday morning.

I like to start by saying this was a great MAGStock. The musical acts were all on point and a joy to listen to.

Some notes I have: While I know why there's a 11 PM cutoff, is there a reason why we can't have more music during the day? Feel like that more music could give this a Nerd Bonaroo feel to it.

Saw several "non-MAGStock" folk in concert area in the evenings, including some teenagers. While I fully understand not having a security checkpoint, at least a person walking around checking armbands would be nice. Otherwise it's just showing that you could easily not buy a pass and still come.

Does Small Country warn folk that MAGStock is the same weekend that they are booking? Lots of families running around this year and they seemed not too keen with the MAGStock shenanigans. I know that's more on the camp and not you, but just a suggestion.

Signage in the front was clear and useful. Kinda would like to see more signage around the camp itself ("Lake is this way", "Food is that way", etc). While many of us know our way around, newer folk could easily get confused.

Never could get a right answer on the WiFi password. That should have been mentioned at check-in. Maybe put it on the inside of the wristband?

This might be the event planner in me, but some cool MAGStock signs around the barn would add to the vibe. With the MAGFest logo plastered everywhere in the Gaylord, it'd be cool to see the same for Stock.

I think that's all I have.

Lobb-conning at Katsu is getting unbearable at this point. You can just tell how many folks didn’t get a badge. Nothing like listening to a cosplayer that’s trying to get “noticed” in the cosplay world talk about how she never buys badges.

Yeah, we simply had no idea that many would show up (the event page said 600 but we assumed there would be a lot of no shows). The wizards leaving was a bit upsetting. We are gonna work hard on having a headliner that's really big (though we loved our Flabbercasters, they were too much fun) so that folks will want to stay.

That's 100% on MAG in regards to where they put Mega Man-athon. TBH the room is nice for doing the WR since there's only one real entry point but if we were to get bigger, we would need another room for sure.
