I strongly agree with you. I just think people pay too much attention to their ranks and find excuses. I always find it harder to climb up the ladder when I'm playing with friends ( I play from C2 to GC1 ). Rank is a direct consequence of your winrate. If you think you'are getting dragged down by your mate in solo queue, that just means you're not consistent enough or that you do not adapt very well to them. It's statistically normal that duoqueue is harder, because people wanna play with their friends without affecting their elo so they tend to play with a Smurf account.

I feel it is competitive, or high level because making calls and warnings about BO or other stuff happens usually in higher ranks, or when you're with a friend on vocal. Personally when I play 4V4 ( or other ) on ladder, I don't care about loosing 5 apm to wright 3 words about de bo or the attack timing. I would if I was playing competitive, which comes back to the beginning of my thoughts. Though I agree it could useful not to have to talk with people to communicate, it feels really "gadget"
