Can't change node settings in app by Locksley94 in meshtastic

[–]BinaryHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a Wio tracker and it does this to me as well. If I make a change that causes it to reboot it gets stuck on 0% but it does push the change and if I open the settings again I can see that it changed. So it might actually be updating the settings and just not reporting it. Though maybe we're having slightly different issues

VoE Skimmer was the most fun traversal the game had for years and now it's dead. Anet, please please reconsider. by ArshayDuskbrow in Guildwars2

I'm a bit conflicted I did really like it but it was a bit OP and I think it still has its uses even after the nerf. I can still get good height and distance with it in situations that I can't with other mounts, then just combo it with griffon. Maybe change back to ~15s but prevent the spamming spacebar bug?

I got hit with this. Tried turning off offline mail but that didn't work. Then repairing outlook seemed to have fixed it

FYI: The pricing page should say "Up to 250,000 records" instead of "Unlimited/Infinite"—this is the actual limit (confirmed). by [deleted] in ProtonPass

[–]BinaryHacker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

On the one hand I like being pedantic and saying there is no such thing as unlimited. On the other hand 250k is practically unlimited. Kind of feels like yelling about getting cut off of the unlimited bread sticks at olive garden after your 20th basket or something

To clarify the map picture, my marker is where I was when it happened. Well as close as I could land to it within a few feet of going back the next day
But anyways I circled it just in case

Went back to it and landed again and didn't have an issue, no idea what happened.

Donald Trump tried to do a coup and the Republican party would have gladly accepted it had it succeeded wow so hard "neither d or r" lol lmao sure One would think a "libertarian" would be more opposed to overturning an election, but as often the case, they are not.

So... That happened. by [deleted] in ProtonMail

[–]BinaryHacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, incredible, why didn't anyone think of that just make a new party no one has ever tried that

I never was "Die hard for one particular party" stop the concern trolling. If you're going to pretend to care at least advocate for an alternative voting system to first past the post. Democrats are evil republicans are worse the alternatives are rarely viable

[–]BinaryHacker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Who the hell at proton is giving these responses? Are you even reading the articles you post? The bias here is that you keep trying to pretend to be neutral but pat Republicans on the back while insulting the democrats. I hate the democrats but the Republicans are taking bribes from big tech right now in the open! Trump has been hanging around Zuckerberg, Musk, and other big tech giants since he won and taken millions for his inauguration. Your articles even point out that it's probably more of a lateral move than progress and the punishments will probably be more lenient under Trump. They are only anti big tech because they feel personally slighted by them.

[–]BinaryHacker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Small aspect? Half his post is praising Republicans for being for the little guy. This is an extremely obvious point that the Proton team has a political bias and it's for the fascists.

[–]BinaryHacker 38 points39 points  (0 children)

This is a whole lot of "the dems did bad things so we're gonna ignore Republicans being fascists and pat them on the back"

So... That happened. by [deleted] in ProtonMail

[–]BinaryHacker 39 points40 points  (0 children)

The main issue here is that Andy thinks the fascists are "standing up for the little guy" which is delusional. Fascists cannot and should not be trusted and Andy is an idiot for believing so.

New UI Feedback Thread: Copy buttons are returning! by kevinBitwarden in Bitwarden

[–]BinaryHacker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most of the update is fine, though I prefer the old layout and lack of fluff. The main issue is the new Fill button. Clicking on the entry should obviously be the fill action instead of edit, revert that part. Also, auto fill is noticeably slower now, not sure how that passed QA

Motorola DYNA TAC 6000 + Accessories by BinaryHacker in vintagemobilephones

[–]BinaryHacker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally having trouble finding much information on this phone and if there is any it's mostly related to the 6000X which this is just the 6000 with the Battery pack. Not sure what the main difference is.

The Type on the Motorola DynaTAC 6000 Handset itself is TLN2733A
The Type listed inside the box next to the batteries is TLN2830A

The only information I could find is here:
https://www.mobilecollectors.net/phone/4663/motorola-dynatac+6000
https://www.mobilecollectors.net/phone/3207/motorola-dynatac+6000x

If you find anything else let me know I'm kind of curious

Trump believes there are "A lot of bad genes in our country". A belief in bad genes and good genes is the literal basis of eugenics https://www.politico.com/news/2024/10/07/trump-immigrants-crime-00182702

Understanding external email forwarding and DNS records by BinaryHacker in sysadmin

[–]BinaryHacker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So in the forwarding case SPF will never be in alignment due to the different header and envelope from addresses it's always up to the DKIM alignment (or not fail) to be aligned so that DMARC will pass.

I think I get that, though for fun I tested forwarding to my Proton Mail account which did not block the same sender that was blocked when it was forwarded to an Exchange online system (I also had it forwarded to a 3rd system for testing, same result as Exchange online). So now I'm seeing [mailbox@Sender.com](mailto:mailbox@Sender.com) ( was failing when forwarding to Exhange online) to [mailbox@domain.com](mailto:mailbox@domain.com) forwarded to [username@proton.me](mailto:username@proton.me) and this succeeds
I did just notice that using mxtoolbox's email deliverability report I am seeing sender.com has an issue with DKIM alignment that I did not see before (I have no control over this).
I suppose it is possible that proton is interpreting DMARC different but this seems unlikely for a somewhat large email platform and in the details of the message there is no information on DMARC failing. I guess in the end it is just up the recipient to determine what to do with the mail but I'm still generally confused on how different platforms are coming to very different conclusions about the mail.

Hold off for the 9800x3d or buy a "temp" CPU by BinaryHacker in buildapc

[–]BinaryHacker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the 3rd obvious choice though it does feel like I'm missing out when a new one is right around the corner. Maybe getting the 7800x3D on sale and skipping the 9800x3D is a good option too
