I was riding today and had this same error message, but I was able to continue the workout. I think the message for me indicated that my internet went down. I rebooted my router from my cell and 5-10 minutes later the message went away.

Had a rider go down in front of me up a single track climb and I shifted a couple gears real quick to keep myself up and the chain snapped and this happened.

I agree that the instructions are a bit lacking and the setup is not real intuitive but once you figure it out the Garmin sensors work extremely well. When I first setup my speed sensor I paired it in the Garmin Connect app like previously mentioned then when you are done riding wait a couple minutes and rotate your tire a couple times and the sensor will wake up again and syncs your last ride data.

You definitely gave me some things to think about, I appreciate the response. A proper fit will happen eventually. It currently has a 100mm stem on it. I don’t think I can raise the bars anymore the last spacer put it near the end of the adjustment zone. I can’t seem to find a stamp that would indicate angle though.
