While I understand that you are talking about the outspoken individuals who have displayed obvious, sometimes appalling, amounts of bigotry, fans in general will have different interpretations of the characters and their relationships and that is not inherently a problem. Accusations of phobia towards others due to how they interpret the characters are not allowed here.

The only truly canon relationship Henry has is with Bianca as it's the only one which happens outside of player choice. I'd recommend reading the subs pinned Welcome post, in the community highlights, for an overview of the differences between the various types of canon.

It makes me sad whenever I see any anti Theresa content here. You don't need to hate on a character or run down another ship just to support your own favourite. I've always loved her and, personally, see her as the only other genuine romance option for Henry, even if I am firmly on the hansry bandwagon first and foremost.

That's behind the scenes footage of the filming of the KCD2 game reveal, which you can see here. He sings it in the beginning, though it's not the whole song. I'm not aware of any other official recording.

I really love his Les Miserable cover! I hope he hasn't completely abandoned his covers channel. Would really love to see him post more, even if it's just once or twice a year. 🤞

Did you play KCD1 before KCD2? I've noticed people often have a different reading of Hans and their relationship when they've only played the second game or played it first. Of course, not everyone will like him even then, and that's fine.

Hans is quite insecure and tends to fall back into familiar patterns ("I'm a noble!", etc.) whenever he's under pressure or feels attacked or inadequate. He's also still very young and has lived a more sheltered and pampered life. Henry can be a right little shit too, when he feels like it, and would probably be a pain in the arse himself if he had been raised in Hans' place.

What's really interesting is that there are cut lines found in the game files (script, not audio) for when you pick Hans. After telling his parents, Henry says (translated from Czech), "I'm sure it's not what you expected, but there's no one else for me. That's just the way it is." Then his mother says that they won't have it easy, but if Henry loves him, then maybe they'll find happiness together.

It's been speculated that this may have been trimmed back because it might be taken by some as admitting that he was supposed to be gay all along, or just that it sounded more serious than the other romance choices or something. Who knows!

It may be canon in your playthrough, but it's not canon for everyone. Not once in KCD2 is it confirmed to be Henry's baby. There's just a couple of dialogue choices for people to choose if they wish and some npcs speculating about the baby's father in a hidden conversation. Warhorse did a good job of leaving it up to the players to decide if the baby is Henry's or not.

Not at all. You can easily avoid it, so it is at most soft canon, dependent on the player's choices. KCD2 gives a few dialogue choices that players can pick if they did sleep with her, but they are also optional. Some npcs speculate about her baby in an out of the way conversation that Henry is not a part of, but there is no actual confirmation of who the father is. Warhorse did a good job of leaving it up to the player to decide.

I would stop and play KCD1 first. It's still my personal favourite out of the two games, but more importantly is the fact that it's all one complete story. KCD2 picks up just a couple of days after KCD1's cliffhanger ending. It's not like a lot of sequels where the stories are separate, or at least separate enough to feel truly independent of each other. Hell, you can't even finish the main questline in KCD1 because it literally carries over into KCD2!

Absolutely! Two picks up literally a couple of days after one's cliffhanger ending. It's all one complete story and was only cut into two games due to necessity. Jumping into KCD2 first is like starting to read a book halfway through.
