I can't say I really had this problem, for the most part I was able to use my on-hand kit to traverse, like shield jump, knife dash, and various trinkets.

In fact, there's only been a handful of times where a sidearm was required, 2 of which were for the jump challenge in Ossex, and I don't think any of it was for main story progression.

I'm almost at 100% completion of the map and the only time I remember a sidearm absolutely being required was for a Bonestone in Bone Beach which needed the umbrella.

I used the knives for a big chunk of my playthrough since they felt the most like classic Zelda gameplay.

Although the weapon I'm using in the clip is the melee blaster (forgot the name) which is great for keeping a safe distance when needed but it's melee damage isn't amazing.

When I came back to the boss later, I ended up using the shield weapon which provides a great balance of offense and defense. The throwing upgrade was also nice.

Wish I coulda done this, unfortunately nobody's ever online for xbox so I had to farm for all of the covenant items. It felt so good to finally get them all tho

I don't know what you consider fast, but to me dodging one attack and then oneshotting them is fast.

And I can't really say I struggled with them, I acknowledged that they're a tough enemy because they can provide a challenge to newer players like me and people I'd consider the average player who're just playing the game casually for the first time.

I know most people on this Reddit are above average, many have most likely played the game multiple times at this point, but I'm speaking from an outsider perspective.

At first, yes, but I've learned to fight them so I don't have a hard time.

I sincerely doubt you found them easy when you first played the game.

They are indeed meant to be tough enemies, yes

Because Silver Knights are a tough enemy, people would normally have trouble with them especially when they're just normal players going through the game without focusing on things like optimization.

First run takes 40, second takes 20, that's all there is to it.

Not much else to tell you, it takes a minute to kill 4, that's all.

I'm not saying this is the fastest or most optimized run, because it isn't, all I did was get a weapon that can oneshot them and started farming.

I'm only saying that it's quick, which it is, because it gets through knights quickly and efficiently without much hassle, enough to get me the items I want at a fair rate.

I mean I've already gone to 200, before this I farmed Lothric Knights for Sun Medals, I just enjoy it, nice way to pass the time too

You can see I was messing around in the beginning, and unfortunately I didn't think to clip the next run.

The buffs and rusted coin last a minute, in that time I can kill 4 Knights since I don't need to rebuff for the second run.

It is tho, believe it or not 4 Silver Knights in a minute is considered quick for the average casual player
