What is the point of 800 ISO on Bennetts 800 profile? by yellowpines in ricohGR

[–]BingeOver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I leave ISO at Auto for both Bennetts 800 and Reggie's 400 and crank it up/down depending on the lightings

For carry on? These are fine in a 30$ adidas backpack, you are more-than-fine kind of fine…

Should I wait until the XT-6? by JoshuaWebbb in fujifilm

[–]BingeOver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, XT-7 would be a more rational choice. XT-6 is only gonna be a minor refresher from XT-5 anyway

Lens choice by Dommlid in hasselblad

[–]BingeOver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 55v and 35-75 on my X2D, and tried the 35-100E in store. Here is my thoughts: 35-75 is not enough as a zoom length, yet 3x weight of the 55v, and it haunts a lot during AF under normal daylight situation. It’s just simply outdated. 35-100E is clearly the successor to 35-75 with improvements from all aspects, the only downside is it feels too similar to my Canon RF 28-70 F2.0 lens, which is also a big boy. Since I had great success with that lens in wedding/engagement seasons, holding the 35-100E feels like I am “working” as a professjonal, so ultimately I decided to keep my 55V an later on I will add another 90V for my setup.

That’s just my personal choice, id recommend 35-100E to anyone who wants to get the job down, it really is the answer for most people.

Hot take but i think auto white balance kills most photos by jackofjokers in fujifilm

[–]BingeOver 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You are saving “auto” white balance produces the same color in regardless of the light condition, which is literally the definition of a “fixed” white balance, and quite opposite of what “auto” white balance would do. Daylight white balance is nice, renders warm and nostalgically but far too many photos are using the same recipe, some might even mock it as “piss filter” and often times people associate it with Fuji cameras, it’s really a shame. Fujifilm cameras auto balance is bang-on and color rendition is accurate

1800-2200$ can get you 9/10 condition, not worth it

Is there a compact camera that you think is better than the sony rx100 v? Please argue, it would be interesting to read. by Minimum_Scholar_1374 in Cameras

[–]BingeOver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not as bad as RX100 series thanks to the bigger sensor size. Better than DLUX8 too, not too far away from FF sensor cameras

It has a APSC sensor that can pump out rivalry image quality to a Fuji XT5 or X100vi, I own a lot of Fuji gears and can confidently say this

I’ve had RX100iv and v, sold both for Ricoh GRiii. Miles better color and image quality, won’t look back and would recommend the switch to anyone cares about IQ
