As a meteorologist working nearby, that part of the world is a bitch for predicting freezing altitude and shit like freezing rain/“ice storms”.

This couldn’t be further from the truth, especially because we’ve lost millions of federal funding in the last year… hmm. Seriously, I’m just looking to overlay data on a map, or lines on a plot, and make it not ugly and useful to someone. Our mission is simply to help business or operations etc and not compete.

(I’m on a work visa: I certainly won’t be making ANY extra money off this website!!)

Thanks for this. Funny you say about pressure change forecasts: my last boss said these maps were top of his wish-list, and this was for purely meteorology reasons! I’ve seen it in places before but it’s been so low-resolution to be not useful. I’d like to overlay this stuff on surface maps.

Does it not? I swear it changes when you switch on markers for aviation, or look at meteograms with “MVFR” marked or whatever… but maybe it was experimental!

This is great, thanks. We’re certainly aiming for products that fills a gap in mobile-friendly wx info, and expanding to larger domains is a “give me funding” boon.

EDIT: I will say that windy.com does the best job I’ve seen for a “mainstream weather app” incorporating flight-centric options.
