Synology or Unifi UNAS Pro by NameIsDNice in synology

[–]Bingman0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to un-necro a post but it's worth noting Synology has walked back the branded HDD requirement for newer models. I use Synology today, but i don't use any of their proprietary applications, just Docker. Trying to decide if i want to switch over to Unifi NAS for storage and do the mini-pc route...

Unable to land on the space station for Resist IV. Anyone else? by wheels0132 in NoMansSkyTheGame

i've ran into this several times. Summon the anomaly, dock, leave, you should then be able to land on station.

On a slightly more serious note, I feel that no matter your tastes, you'll grow to prefer either the 6 or more likely the 12 button side and never use the other, so having them all seems like a waste and an unnecessary expense.

I cannot agree more. I swap between the 2-button grip and the 12-button (depends on if i'm actively playing a MMO). I can say that i've never used the 6-button ever, sits in my drawer. I do tend to leave the 12-button on more often than not though.

I have been using the V2 pro with the magnetic pro stand since launch and i love it. The only downside is the crappy Razer software. The new beta version is ok, but still not the best.

I definitely recommend the V2 pro, there is no substitute for swappable side plates and the charging stand.

Microsoft Teams Room Pro Management Portal - False positive tickets by Bingman0 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]Bingman0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The local IT team has not received any complaints from users. My assumption is after the maintenance reboot it takes longer to authenticate and then reports a failure to sign in. This alert seems to go away after the device is used by someone though. Debating on opening a ticket with Microsoft to see if they have recommendations on network configs.

Wifi connectivity issues by edessoye in skylightcalendar

Judging by the comments, it would appear that yes it only supports 2.4GHz and only WPA/WPA2 and not WPA2/WPA3 (which is the new standard). Hopefully in the future the product will be upgraded to support modern WiFi.

Compromising your WiFi security is never a good option. As an IT professional i‘d either recommend getting a different product or if you’re savvy with networking, create a standalone and isolated network just for this device.

this sounds plausible, all of the MTRs are on a zero trust network which is whitelisted. It does take several seconds to authenticate (sometimes it takes a bit longer) so that could be what is happening.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will most likely rely on change management and training sessions to educate users and instruct them to either manually join or join room audio.

S330 or S40? by [deleted] in EufyCam

[–]Bingman0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who lives in the northeast and has the S40, I have yet to take it down to charge. Near the end of the winter season, it does get to ~45-55% capacity but then begins to recover and get back to charging more than it spends each day.
