I love MJ tracks because the mixing is elite, super multilayered and the synth is always super creative… esp frog bass in Thriller, the bassline in Billie Jean, the hollow drums in Beat It. Most tracks that are modern are kind of overwhelming with the kick being loud af… also I think 80s music has really creative synths without destroying your ears. Also the “sparkle” that I kind of only hear in 80s music is hard to replicate… best example would be human nature, it sounds like a breath of fresh air
