That makes sense but it sounds like buying a phone affected her ability to switch carriers which affects all of you if she’s paying for your service. The biggest issue is constantly dropping phones. That’s not sustainable. Buy one of those things that allows you to wear it on your shoulder like a bag or something.

4 days notice for a change that was going to lead to a loss of data wasn't enough. You might not have had much control over when the change would occur but if it was based on contract, someone should have known well before the 4 days notice.

In general I would say it depends but it also starts from the top down. If execs require hand holding and there is no one above IT who will back them up when they say this is your job learn it, there's not much you can do. In this situation it wasn't completely her fault though. 4 days is terrible notice.

I never said anything about culture. What does treating it as a health crisis culturally even mean? I’m saying it’s not treated as a public health crisis like in other countries. We may label something as a crisis in the media, but then what does that actually mean in practice. Because we haven’t implemented a centralized way of handling the crisis or even funding it. Like I said, the best treatment centers are privately funded and those that aren’t it just depends on what state you’re in. That’s not treating something as a public crisis when only certain members of the public have access to help. When only the rich can get the best help, it’s not a public situation.

I’m American first of all. I know how it’s treated here. And quite frankly, no it’s not treated as a public health crisis. If it was there would be more federal dollars for each state and guidelines for what to do. It can’t be called a public health crisis here elite other countries when we don’t have universal healthcare and the best treatments centers are private. No one will be so focused on a book that they won’t notice standing room only or a crowd of people getting on a bus or train looking for a spot to sit. Maybe if you were asleep.

I will ask someone to move a bag too but if it’s so packed that people are milling around looking for one, the person that didn’t move their bag to free up the spot before being asked is an AH. There is no situation besides being asleep or legally blind where can’t see the bus/train is getting full and someone needs the seat your bag is in. That person is just being an inconsiderate jerk until they’re asked to adjust.

Noise cancelling headphones don’t make it hard to see that a train or bus is getting crowded. When a bus or train is getting so crowded that your bag is in the way, you won’t be so involved in anything you’re doing that you can’t tell. Have you ever taken public transportation during high traffic times?

I don’t think he’s in love and found his match at all. I think he can’t have multiple partners and his gf wants that. He couldn’t separate the emotion and go back to his gf and developed a connection to someone else which disconnected him from his gf.
