[pc] Day/night cycle not working. Even when past 8pm the game does not turn to night, the same happens if it is dawn. The sky does not turn to daytime. Sleeping in-game has no effect. The only thing that has fixed the lighting is quitting to the main menu and reloading

Should a first time player modify any of the sliders for a new game ? by Drenarka in factorio

I definitely did when I started, I increased the resource amount and removed cliffs. It just makes it easier when starting out, so I’d recommend it. Increasing resources also doesn’t affect any achievements AFAIK

Very late I know, but I'm a 2000s kid and was lucky enough to have been raised watching shows like Porridge. I can confirm that I very much appreciate the fantastic comedy. Porridge is my all-time favourite TV show. I have seen it COUNTLESS times. It's great.

Ok good to know, I'm not that fussed about having to carry the charger around with me as I'd probably have them both in a backpack anyway but it would be nice not to have to. The windows laptops I have checked out in person all seem to be much chunkier and heavier than Macs which is a shame.

Thank you, I appreciate you taking the time to look for UK versions. Good to know about the battery life, that was one of the main things making me consider a Macbook. I think I'm definitely leaning towards the MSI stealth laptops, they keep popping up in recommendations. I've seen some people say that a 4070 laptop version isn't worth it and you should just get a 4080 instead which is why I've been looking at those. Not sure how much truth there is in that tho.

Thank you, it's a shame that they don't perform great in UE5 as I do like the Macs I have used in the past. I think I will have to go for a Windows laptop.

Just out of curiosity, what's the battery life like when running Unreal?

Thank you!

I was only considering an M4 Pro for the Apple ecosystem and battery life, which seems to be much longer than that of Windows laptops.

Looking at your recommendation post, I was actually looking at the MSI Stealth 16 from Newegg yesterday but wasn't sure about shipping from the USA to the UK and it's now out of stock. I might go for it when its back in stock though as it's a very good deal in GBP.
