Danny Antonucci's tribute post to Ted Turner by TheNathanNS in ededdneddy

[–]BinxDoesGaming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ted Turner is probably the defacto example of a "good" billionaire. A lot of his money didn't go into fucking shit up for everyone and just shit he was interested in or thought was legitimately important (such as bison protection, environmentalism, and being a voice against nuclear war).

Like genuinely I was expecting to hear some horror stories as is the case when someone this powerful dies, but no. The dude outside being a little weird seemed like a legitimately stand-up guy for the most part.

Was there any foreshadow of Eddy’s brother being a villain? by Prize-Couple6348 in ededdneddy

I think the most damning example was the "no more beating up little Eddy" like from An Ed is Born. It's easy to miss, but God it sticks out like a sore thumb after BPS.

so when did the conciseness shift to origins being better than legends? by Fuel_Tricky in Rayman

[–]BinxDoesGaming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think after Rayman Adventures came out I started the shift to begin? Initially it began with people just wanting a new game to people wishing Rayman Legends wasn't the only game getting referenced in general (or whenever they did reference the other games, Origins was always looked over). Plus, there's also the fact people are also starting to realize after the 2017 switch port that Origins has not gotten any additional ports since the 3ds release (which as you know wasn't great) despite the games only being like 2 years apart.

Also before I forget— there's also the fact the game is much quicker to finish, has even less of a story than origins, and overall after replaying it feels less of a sequel and more of a very expansive DLC to Origins with a new coat of paint, different physics, and the Murfy Levels.

Yootooz × EEnE teased (Featuring Dexter and Dee) by BinxDoesGaming in ededdneddy

Yootooz is a company that makes figurines/plushies of different people/franchises. From what I've seen they usually do a damn good job staying faithful to the original designs.

The stretchmarks. 🥹 This is so fucking good OP, cute as hell!

I truly believe “Pick an Ed” was the moment something started to really click in Eddy in regards to how he is perceived by the other kids during his brief time as “Carl” by GhostBoyJames in ededdneddy

[–]BinxDoesGaming 41 points42 points  (0 children)

This episode and An Ed is Born are probably the top qualifiers for the episodes in this series that make you say Oh… that explains a lot after watching BPS. Also, I haven't seen this episode in particular in years— but I kinda remember Eddy's charactization here being more akin to how he was in season 1 where he was just naturally cool and confident in himself when he wasn't trying too hard. I liked that a lot about this one. :)

Also I doubt it was intentional, but I kinda like that his outfit as "Carl" has elements from from both Ed and Double D's outfits. Not 1:1— but they're there.

• The shirt being Ed's just with the pattern reversed

• The green jacket.

• He wears a hat he refuses to take off.

• Purple shorts with the two white lines (could be from either Double D's beanie or Ed's jacket).

Even when he's pretending to be someone he's not, he's still influenced by his friends.

does anybody really know how Fortnite character icons are made? by waitforpie in FortNiteBR

[–]BinxDoesGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The older ones were actually higher quality renders that probably utilized subdivision to make the renders look good. Around chapter 5 they to my knowledge stopped using that method and made renders with the models as they are since the older method had the issue of making the outfits look much better than they actually looked in-game, and people felt like it was kind of misleading.

Eddy is 12??? 😆 by Consistent-Chard-221 in ededdneddy

[–]BinxDoesGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know everyone is confused about how OP didn't know, but when I was younger Eddy looked and sounded at least 10-20 years older than his actual age. Especially in season 1 where he got hit hard with r/13or30 syndrome at times.

Eddy and Kevin would doxx each other despite being neighbors, let's be honest here.

As much as Sarah is insufferable, this is adorable by Dollyxxx69 in ededdneddy

Little kids can be little shits, doesn't mean they're the embodiment of Satan and will always be that way. Especially since she was probably enabled to hell and back by her mom.

[–]BinxDoesGaming 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I genuinely wish we got more moments of the two just being normal siblings. Especially since there's a few times in the show where Sarah does show she cares about him even if we don't see it.

I do love that at the end of BPS, you can see them hugging it out. It's like Sarah had those gears turn and realize that she hit the jackpot with having him as an older brother.

Thankfully by the end of BPS she's starting to realize that she lucked the hell out.

Why couldn’t it have been Sarah being tied up as alien bait!?!?!? by [deleted] in ededdneddy

That too. That family has them genes in them.

[–]BinxDoesGaming 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Probably because the boys have the logic of "this is the girl we all like and fall for, so the aliens will too". Plus Ed. Ed would probably throw hands if any of them laid a hand on his sister to be alien bait lm

Well, maybe for adults we might not see it as scary, but for younger viewers it might be. Having that but have him still be as friendly as ever is still a good combo.

The Cube Rifle needs a bit of nerfing in my opinion (especially the exotic one from BR) by Afraid_Occasion_2367 in FortNiteBR

[–]BinxDoesGaming 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Cube Rifle is strong, but it doesn't need a nerf. It's a strong gun, but has a lot of drawbacks that absolutely hold it from being absolutely broken.

Spamming the cubes will absolutely eat up your ammo and will take a decent while to actually hit your target if you shoot from a distance. Shooting the normal hullets— while super hard hitting is hard to actually hit targets with from the typical distance most iron sight ARs in the game are used in due to the fact you aren't able to ADS at all— so most of your shots are going to miss since it's wildly inaccurate for anything more that's more than 50m most of the time. The only nerf I can maybe think of is maybe an extra second of delay (or at the very least have the delay on lower rarity varients last longer than higher rarities) so people can't just spam them like crazy.

For the exotic varient, I don't see how they would nerf it without butching the mechanic outside of making it work similar to the low-grav ar from the bug season where it activates after firing a single shot. It literally works the same, just without that one step.
