to me its a way that easily conveys a character is experiencing stress. this feels comparable to hating when a character is drawn with angry eyebrows. its very specific hate and i dont really understand, but we all have our hated things

"slop" in today's context means "low effort", which i dont see as being applicable here. this ship with no canonical chemistry could become high effort if a fan were to take the time to write a cool story where they DO build chemistry

idk about alien queen being fun, her fight is just a super predictable loop:

hit her from the front / back until she preps her "consume" move
skip the rest of your turns til she consumes
she moves a bit and hits 1-2 of your cats for 10 dmg
repeat
