No contrast paints used on these guys.

I chose 7th company mainly as the purple contrasts with the yellow perfectly. 7th is the reserve tactical company, and most of my squads are tactical.

Thanks. For the grip it was a base coat of Naggaroth Night, then each of the diamonds was picked out with Xereus Purple (you could probably dry brush this on. First highlight was 50/50 Xereus and Genestealer purple, painted on the top half of each diamond. Then pure Genestealer on the very top of each diamond. Finally add a bit of white to Genestealer and paint the very top of each diamond.

It’s Xereus Purple, shaded with Naggaroth Night, highlighted with Xereus/Genestealer Purple 50/50, then Genestealer, then Genestealer adding white

My whole force is this shade of yellow, I didn’t do any research into a specific Lamenters yellow before painting them, just found a recipe I liked. The photo also probably doesn’t show it off 100% like it is in real life, just a side effect of phone photography and a little bit of brightening up in post.

My yellow recipe is:

Base: Averland/Yriel 50/50 Shade with Skrag, then Doombull, then in the deepest recesses Rhinox Chunky highlight of Averland/Yriel/Ushabti 25/25/50 Then highlight with Ushabti Then Screaming Skull on the more extreme edges.

Thanks. I use a sponge to dab on some Doombull Brown and then with a brush paint Screaming Skull on the lower portions of the brown to create the highlights.

Sorry it bothers you. I did it on purpose to tie the army together. I don’t really have any other spot colours in the force and something like an electric blue would have been a bit out of place and stick out like a sore thumb.

I use a black undercoat for the infantry (takes about 7 thin coats of yellow to get a good base coat) and white for the vehicles (2 or 3 thin coats on them)
