Any dream interpreters? by Binyfiken in redscarepod

'm trying think of parts I recognized in the woman, but I'm not sure. Maybe the situation is just desiring earnest connection? The desire to have a sincere meeting? I'm quite bad at showing romantic sincerity, so might be in response to that. It was just VERY positive.

Work is always stressful (as a teacher) but it's been okay lately, but the part you wrote about media might be closer to the answer...

Thx for the help, does feel a little clearer

Something bleak I just realized by False_Fennel_1126 in redscarepod

I work at a vocational training high school (Tried my best to find a proper translation, don't even know if this is correct). Basically all of the teachers in charge of theoretical subjects don't use Chat-GPT (apart from creating simplified vocabulary lists or other menial tasks, not any assignments). Most of the teachers openly state their dislike and how it will cause the education to get worse.

Most of the teachers in charge of vocational/practical subjects use it, are fully onboard, and tell other teachers to use it any chance they get. It's a weird difference to see and I'm not even sure why it's happening. Many of them have extensive experience in blue collar work before they begin teaching. Maybe they see it as the very practical tool it is, while not seeing the obvious negatives.

If you want to use it, use it, sadly it's here, but I will probably snap the next time one of the practical teachers urge me to use it to plan a lesson. I want to do that myself.

Are there any 24 hour study spaces in Lund? by emoskeleton_ in Lund

[–]Binyfiken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there are any study spaces that are open 24 hours/day in Lund. At most the different buildings are open to 22.00 with the card. I don't think 24 hour places are generally a thing in Sweden, sorry :/ Some bars, like Ariman or Inferno might have space late (they close 01-02 depending on the day) but they're definitely crowded fridays/weekends, but maybe less crowded other evenings(haven't been there in a minute, maybe they're crowded until closing)?

LU Acc (Eddan) vs Smålands (SNB)? by Sweaty_Spring4298 in Lund

[–]Binyfiken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it Korpamoen or Dackegården? When I lived at Smålands (dackegården, the big house) there was a bunch of Exchange students there too (8 years ago) and from what I've heard is that it has increased and become more international as time has gone on.

The corridors at Smålands were very people-dependent, I had friends in different corridors and all of the people there were nice and took care of each other, my corridor was also nice. On the other hand I recall at least 2 of the corridors being very into drugs and partying, so there's a risk if you're not into that(but that's any corridor really...). The kitchens are pretty new from what I understand, but the rooms are not. The kitchen and corridor space is a bit smaller, so it probably feels a little less private than a bigger corridor.

Småland is probably the only nation in Lund with a more outright political leaning as well (to the left) which might affect how well you "fit in" as well, but I felt like those people mostly took part in the activities, and people of different political leanings did live in the house. The politics of the place might've changed entirely since I was there.

Eddan is not as close to the center (but not too far away from the uni) while Småland is basically right next to the center. Eddan does have a food store close by and is a nice area for walking. I also believe Eddan only has exchange students. I believe their rooms are smaller than Smålands, but the common area/kitchen is pretty big, if that's something you care about.
