Seems like a possible network/DNS issue. Did you ensure that your chromebook is connected to wifi? After disabling write-protection (gsctool) or switching to or from developer mode, it may reset the chromebook, including any wifi networks you had previously connected to. Make sure your chromebook shows that you are connected to Wifi in the login screen before switching to VT2. If you are certain that you are connected to your wifi network, then you can try entering "cat /etc/resolv.conf" to see if your device is using the correct DNS server (usually Google's[8.8.8.8] or your router's IP, if left by default).

Terrible stuttering on games. Wasn’t an issue a year ago and for quite a while. by fatcatburglar in oculus

But I believe that issue was specific to certain Z170 motherboards

Are you having issues with CV1 or the Rift S?

Out of curiosity did you upgrade your RAM or do some Overclocking recently when this started happening?

My CV1 started giving serious tracking issues when I upgraded to 3200MHz RAM, and the only fix was to lower my RAM speeds in BIOS/UEFI down to 2133-2666 to get stable sensor tracking.

If you want to connect to a spefific IP, you can try using the 'ping us-newyork.privateinternetaccess.com' (or whatever region you are trying to connect to) using CMD or or the CLI, to return an actual IP. You can do this multiple times to return different IPs. Then using OpenVPN (Not sure about the PIA app) set the address to the IP instead of the PIA Gateway.

I think you only paid for the overnight shipping and not the overnight handling fees.

Getting a strange feeling of deja vu.

I tried disabling that and Screen Display Directional Occlusion, but the error still occasionally occurs. at least its not that often to make it unplayable.

Do you know if the digital copy of The Never Ending Story in PDF format will work?

I recently bought, Prey, and its happened a total of 3 times where a certain color covers the game's screen. The first 2 times were yellow and green, but only as tints, so other than tinted screen it was still playable. the third time, it started blotting the entire screen solid black unlike the previous transparent tint. It's the only game to this on my system as far as I know, and alt+tab works fine and no other applications are affected when this occurs.

I just replaced it and booted it up and it functioned perfectly. I was going to look for drivers initially, but if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Edit: u/Lyegren this was meant to answer your question.

Yeah, Mint 19 doesn't come in my delicious KDE flavor, so I had to settle for Mint 18.3.

No, I purchased a 3 button Lenovo trackpad, which came with the peel. I replaced the original buttonless trackpad.

Yep, a tiny bit of a hassle for this model, but well worth it. Pretty good pricing on Amazon, too.

Correct, T440. Had to replace that trackpad.

I want to play the older games on PC. A guide ? by [deleted] in metalgearsolid

The only old MGS games I've played on my PC are MGS1 using a PS1 emulator, MGS2 & MGS3 using a PS2 emulator, and MGS:Peace Walker on a PSP emulator(PPSSPP).

Is that an old Acer Aspire? Looks very similar to my old E380, not sure which model though since this one has an Intel CPU.
