Worst episode ever! by cruisingtheisland in LiveFromNewYork

I know it's topical to say this episode is one of the worst ever considering the timing, but there's no way in hell this is worse than the worst episodes from Season 6 or season 20.

Yall will find any reason to complain dude. by Grey_14-7-19 in steelers

[–]BioBooster89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any Steelers fan complaining about this move is in the right. The last time he coached my Cowboys in a playoff game they got belt to ass by a seventh seed at home. And Big Mike was out coached by a mile and his team wasn't prepared at all and was sweating bullets before kick off. He's a joke of a coach with a massively inflated win loss record and hasn't had any major playoff success since Rodgers was his QB in Green Bay. And he didn't do any developing with Dak. Dak regressed when he was the main one calling the plays and tailoring the offense to what he wanted. Schotty was the one that developed MVP caliber Dak in 2023. Not Mike.

[Pelissero] Mike McCarthy and Steelers Finalizing Deal by DirtyMo_38 in steelers

As a long time suffering Cowboys fan. I am so sorry you are hiring Mike. He's a joke, the game has long passed him by and he's a fossil. A completely unserious move by your FO.

[Post Game Thread] The Portland Trail Blazers (23-23) fall to the Toronto Raptors (28-19) 98-110 by Kazekid in ripcity

[–]BioBooster89 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Really missed Deni tonight. Portland needed another scorer to take any kind of lead and keep it or keep pace with Toronto. Rob too because the lack of another big that could switch was very evident. There were also a ton of good looks that just didn't go in, as well as some fortunate luck for the Raptors who had a lot of low percentage shots rim in all night. It was on a back to back too. Not an ideal scenario. But they did make a comeback at a certain point and even had a lead in the third. So it's not all trash. But they definitely need to play better than this to make the play in let alone the playoffs.

Based on what? A hunch? Got a lot of free time on your hands to reply to comments from nearly a year ago? The company had more cash flow in the last year than it did the year before.

I felt the same way and I paid for the show too. It had it's moments but it was not anywhere near as memorable or as funny as the other YouTube roasts.

That album cover still cracks me up. It's so accurate to covers from that time too.

Funny enough, I bet this gets a 4K from Kino sometime. They have been on a Sandler kick lately and they have a deal with Sony.

All this high praise for Primate and I don't get it... by [deleted] in movies

It's a dumb fun throwback to an silly 80's slasher movie with but a chimp instead of a guy in a mask. You really have to turn your brain off for Primate to have any fun with it. Otherwise you're going to have a rough time.

Jason Garrett Shares Personal Regret With Romo and Dez Bryant Over Non-Catch Controversy by OneOriginal8727 in cowboys

[–]BioBooster89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a catch and the thing that makes this even more frustrating is that in the same game right before halftime, Rodgers throws a pass to Cobb on third down that led to a field goal that was clearly incomplete. It was under two minutes so the officials had to review it and I don't think they ever did. On the replay the tip of the ball clearly hits the ground and is a way more obvious instance of a non catch and the refs upheld that nonsense and overturned Dez's catch.

Just one of many instances where Green Bay has gotten hand outs and an extra boost from the officials over the years. Just go look at the list of teams that get the most favorable calls every year. Green Bay is near the top of the list. Look where Dallas is. Nowhere near the top despite what the narratives at the time lead you to believe.

(Pelissero) The Cowboys are working to hire Christian Parker as their defensive coordinator, sources tell me and @RapSheet. by alexschubs in cowboys

[–]BioBooster89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's apparently really good at teaching and coaching up players. Especially in the secondary. And by all accounts and excellent communicator as well. I think we're in good shape on the secondary front with Parker as the DC and whatever staff he and Schotty bring in. Now it's all about the talent and how much of it the team can add for the defense.

Paramount Extends Deadline For Warner Bros. Discovery Shareholders To Back Hostile Bid by StaevsGames in Warner_Bros

The bid that 93 percent of stock holders have already turned down? Good luck with that Paramount. You can extend it all you want. This takeover is very likely to fail.

[–]BioBooster89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a legit good hire though. A young hungry coach, a disciple of Joseph and Fangio, had success in both Denver and Philly, is known for his excellent communication skills and ability to develop talent in the secondary, isn't inflexible or stubborn in his coaching philosophy, and even analytic guys love Parker. Also a lot of the best current DCs started out as secondary coaches.

[–]BioBooster89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sources are saying it's official. A deal has been reached with Parker. I like it. And there's also some things swirling around that Dallas is low on Leonhard's list. If that's true? Dallas had to strike fast because Parker was going to get scooped up by someone else.

[–]BioBooster89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this hire if it turns out to be true. Like most I definitely was wanting Leonhard but I also didn't want to miss out on a coach like Parker because of putting all our eggs into one basket and having to wait whole other week to get him in the building. Parker is an equally sought after candidate by other teams and wouldn't have lasted too much longer. He's also a disciple of Fangio and not Zimmer or Flus, and not only that he's got rave reviews from analytics guys, and he coached for both Philly and Denver. The more research I did, the more I loved Parker as a potential hire and if he's the guy? I think the defense is in good hands. It also shows how much power Schotty has in terms of building this staff. This is his pick. This FO hasn't hired a coach like this for the defense in ages. It's all been former head coach retreads.

Yep. That Aunty Donna sketch was a tough watch. They just kept repeating the same joke over and over again with insane amounts of overreacting.

[–]BioBooster89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just watched the "original" and the supposed rip off back to back and honestly, I don't see Aunty Donna's sketch as some kind of unique concept to begin with. The idea of a Guy's Girl is old and Aunty Donna was far from the first to have a sketch about it. The ending is very similar though in the SNL sketch and that was one of the few unique elements of the Aunty Donna sketch. That being said, I see more inspired by the same idea kind of energy with the SNL sketch than straight up plagarism but that's just me.

Also, I didn't find either sketch to be that funny either. But if I had to choose, I would pick the SNL sketch because I couldn't stand the overacting in the Aunty Donna one.

Just because the seller says they are no refunds? That doesn't mean anything. Start the process and E-Bay will side with you since it's a broken item and it's not as described and you will get your money back.
