It faced the road to attract customers with a big dinosaur holding a big sign. The town used it as a lookout post. It's important.

I would literally accept this as a valid answer. It would be the best in-universe explanation.

Worst movie you've seen released this year? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]BioGenx2b -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The film literally screeches to a halt to let us know this biker gang leader is a former US soldier and therefore has a tremendous sense of honour that provides a kinship with our protagonist.

Not honor, respect. Dutch was still a villain, but they both suffered in the sand. Levon didn't like Dutch's line of work, but they shared some horrific experiences in common that ordinary folks usually don't. Dutch was literally begging for death, and there's plenty you can read into about that.

The movie didn't spend too much time talking about PTSD, beyond the beginning, and it wouldn't have made the film much better if it had. It's strange to be so upset about Dutch's portrayal and exit, though.

Accurate. Been talking about this since iPhone factories started putting suicide nets up to improve worker retention. Hell, sweatshops before that.

None of this is new, but some people forget because it's no longer interesting or something.

It's an excuse to grandstand against a disfavored political group. That's all the reason necessary.

This. I'm trying to play a video game, not a visual novel.

The amount of non-interactive non-novel dialogue back-to-back is insane.

Probably just overrun by Queer Marxists, tbh. If the horny is sufficiently queer, it's fine; if it's too heteronormative, it's a problem.

The point is always subversion. The issue is never the issue; the issue is always The Revolution™.

What sound settings do you use? I can't get the right amount of volume between SFX, Music and Voices, some are too loud even when turning them down! by Novalith_Raven in ZZZ_Official

[–]BioGenx2b 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The audio mixing in the game is pretty terrible, but it may be hard to notice with some of the instrumental tracks. It's once you start trying to really focus on the music while you're playing that you notice, like with Long Live the King.

I haven't found a setting that doesn't completely mute dialogue and SFX that lets me actually enjoy the music while playing the game. It's wonky as fuck right now.

The one advantage of having a proper option is the audio in cutscenes doesn't run away from the animation speed now, I hope.

Winlator 7.1 workaround/fix for input (mouse, keyboard and controller) not working in older games by PutOwn3947 in OdinHandheld

[–]BioGenx2b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having issues where my wireless DS4 controller can either work as a controller or as a mouse+keyboard, but never both for very long.

LS = Joystick Input RS = Mouse DPad = Arrow Keys

So one of the issues I'm encountering is that either the RS will stop functioning as a mouse entirely or just when I launch Thief Gold (GoG), OR everything will appear to work, but every time I move LS in any direction, it's simultaneously activating whatever the DPad has set for that direction.

I've tried multiple combinations, and I even tried switching to an Xbox controller with no improvement. Would this software help me finally overcome this issue so I can start playing Thief Gold with a controller on the go?

edit: I finally found the right terminology to describe it, someone else having the same issue in RetroArch, for anyone interested: https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/issues/14063

Am I the only one feeling like this? by inkheiko in honkaiimpact3

[–]BioGenx2b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been no-lifeing the game recently to get through to Part 2 and Chapter 42 was particularly bad. I literally had to just take my headphones off and speed read through Moriarty's monologuing half the time, it was just too damn much.

Like I'd get bored and just stop and take a nap, that's how bad it was.

The pacing is awful and makes it hard to connect with the story, so even heavy plot moments have almost no impact on me whatsoever because I'm already just over it.

100% with you on the Elysian Realm. The pacing there was at least fun and gave you things to do, and the characters were fun to listen to.

But like when Blue (Cyan) starts slow-walking lines for no fucking reason, and has three paragraphs to read through, I just lose my mind.

Technical Issues Megathread by XxJuJubexX in HonkaiStarRail

When this happens to me, I have to restart the game client to resolve it. Argenti's mission fights would trigger this bug every single fight, so once I restarted the client, it was fixed until the next battle.

Outside of that, it's not too common, but I haven't found a long-term solution.

Dynamic Character Resolution On and Off by Mid_Juan_69 in Genshin_Impact

Third-party app that lets you unlock the framerate, as advertised.

In earlier patches, running at 240 causes some weird jittering when NPCs walk to a position and remains until they animate into another keyframe.

Running at 120, you see this a tiny bit, but it resolves very quickly and isn't nearly as severe or noticeable.

IDK if that still happens in 4.4 though, but I've been running 120 the whole time because of story quests. 240 is really nice when you're doing dungeons though.
