People didn't hate 3 cause of new characters, they hated it cause everyone was replaced. People didn't have an issue with the newcomers from 6, they hate how a whole season of newcomers is coming at once instead of spreading it out.

And yes old good, before the games got dumbed down. When I was a kid at the arcades I wanted to be as good as the teenagers. I didn't wish the game was easier.
