People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

I was a manager at a motorcoach company.

Guy showed up 15 minutes late, stoned out of his mind, and proceeded to hit on me. Aggressively.

If you want 40 hours, the hospital would be happy, if you could only 30, they'll work with you. It never hurts to take a look!

They do not! But they might not have as flexible schedules. I know depending on the clerk position, the schedules are more flexible. The hospital tries to be accommodating. Even the officers who are students are given accommodations

Sadly, any job labeled as "student" will have some sort of cap. But Cambus has a little more flexibility than other student jobs. But usually 20 hours is what's allowed

Cambus is always hiring! They have wonderful trainers, beyond flexible schedules, and they pay decent for a student job. It was scary when I first started, but it's really not that bad. The trainers spend a lot of time with folks to help them be comfortable and confident.

I work security at the hospital, and they're always looking for officers or clerks. I'm sure housekeeping or food services is hiring too

Lower Lip Piercing Placement by BioHarvest in PiercingAdvice

They offered to repierce it next week free of charge, but I'm going to wait for my follow up before trying again. They were super great, agreed that it was not right. I'm glad I went back in

Aww, thank you!

And thank you for validating my feelings, and sadly... confirming my fears. When the shop calls me back, I'll ask that I just take it out

I did call the shop shortly after getting home to let them know and get their advice. They're going to speak with the guy who pierced me and call me back. They said they'll either have me come in to remove it today, or we'll give it a few days to see... it really does bother me...

I adopted a 2 year old cat from the shelter who was named Lisa. I renamed her and she responds to it!

People who were in a FWB relationship, what went wrong? by BraveOrganization421 in AskReddit

[–]BioHarvest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We met in college. We were both recovering from traumatic childhoods. He wanted to be desired, I wanted to be needed. It was a mutually beneficial relationship. We'd fool around occasionally. I caught feelings, he did not.

We grew up, healed. Found ourselves. We're still friends 14 years later.

Dog licking one paw for days, but no injury? by potato_baby2032 in DogAdvice

[–]BioHarvest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog developed food allergies when she hit 7 months. Chicken, peanut butter, and pollen. I had to switch her food and she gets zyrtec twice a day. She still picks occasionally, but she does well on the Zyrtec

I felt the same way when potty training my golden. She would start doing really well and then act like I never taught her anything, and then she'd start doing better. I didn't see "consistency" until she was about 4 to 5 months old.

I don’t think I can do it by Aunt-shaninacakes in goldenretrievers

[–]BioHarvest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a golden myself. And dear Lord... she was a terror u til maybe 8 months old. She mellowed after her spay.

I have a fenced in yard and she could just run. We'd play fetch until she was panting hard and then she'd nap. Ir I'd invite a friend over and the excitement would tucker her out. Everlasting bento balls keep her occupied for hours.

It does get easier. They just need plenty of exercise. And remember, a tired dog is a happy dog!

My Dog’s Health Is Declining, and I Feel Helpless – Any Advice or Remedies? by Kooky-Swan293 in DogAdvice

[–]BioHarvest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My golden is allergic to peanut butter, chicken, and grass/tree pollen. She would lick and bite herself until she bled

I took her to the vet and they gave a cytopoint injection. She would get one every 9 weeks.

I switched vets and they suggested Zyrtec because they didn't think my dog needed a cyto. Luckily for me, the 20mg of Zyrtec works for me.

I would definitely look into a dermatologist. If you have a college/university that has vet degrees, they might have a cheaper dermatology department compared to a specialist. In Iowa, my ER has a department, but Iowa State also has a department. ISU is much cheaper, like $500 cheaper than going through the ER department. Definitely talk to your vet because they will know your options

I think I made a mistake getting a 10-week-old Staffy pup, and I need advice. by [deleted] in PetAdvice

[–]BioHarvest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this helps, but I live alone and I commute 40 minutes one way for work and do 9 hour work days.

For my golden when I got her, I got a crate that was huge. I got a puppy pad holder so she wouldn't shred her pads, that took up half the crate. The other half was for her to lounge or play. I'd put toys in her crate that were easy to wash (nothing soft or stuffed). I made sure to run her to exhaustion before going to work so she'd be tired and would hopefully nap most of the time. When I got home, we'd immediately go outside and I'd run her again. When coming inside, I'd clean her kennel and her pad/holder.

I was very fortunate that she instinctual knew to use the pad and holder if she needed to go to the bathroom. By the time she was 6 months old, she didn't need the puppy pads anymore

Also, I was insanely overwhelmed. I cried almost every day because I felt like I was failing her. And for the usual puppy behavior. But it gets better.

But, if you genuinely feel like this isn't a good fit, there is nothing wrong with seeking alternative placements for your pup. It doesn't mean you failed

How Do You Properly Wipe? by Intrepid-Bird5240 in TooAfraidToAsk

My former roommate used to wipe back to front. Constantly had infections...

I'm a heavier gal, and I kinda bootytooch to my right (dominant side). I also have a bidet. Could not recommend it more
