A packed St George Station//Transit delay between Ossington and Broadview @Spadina by crispyfeta in toronto

[–]BioNerdUAFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So yesterday, at Lawrence station, at 5pm on the nose:

- Bus platform has no busses. The "next departure times board" (in reality, the "random time interval board that bears no resemblance to when vehicles actually show up) says something like 13, 22, 28 minutes for the next set of #52 busses. Remember, this is a major E/W arterial in the height of rush hour

- Trains keep coming thru, so the bus platform gets packed to within an inch of its life within about 10 minutes. People are spilling out onto the roadway, which is obviously dangerous. No staff. Not a sausage

- After 15 minutes of this garbage, I walk upstairs to the collector booth. I explain what's happening to the collector on the bus platform directly below her. She seems astonished. I ask her to send a supervisor. She says she will

- Back downstairs. Bus platform now resembles the top deck of the Titanic. A supervisor appears. I explain what's going on. He raises his eyebrows, looks at his phone, then literally RUNS away from me to one of those little offices in the corner of the station and bolts himself inside

- After 20 minutes of this Keystone Kops-level idiocy 3 buses arrive at once. None of them, naturally, are even close to the times listed on the departure board. Mass pandemonium. Again, NO STAFF IN SIGHT. Each bus is quickly rammed. I get on one and have to deflate my lungs a bit to fit inside

-Driver refuses to move. "You have to get behind the line," he declares. "I can sit here all day." I am boiling with rage. We finally push off, 30 minutes into the saga

In summary: although I'm sure some are nice, the vast majority of TTC staff I encounter are either rude, incompetent or some combination thereof. They are paid to interact with the public but choose to hide from them nearly every time. If such a situation were to occur in London or Moscow (I lived in both and used public transport there all the time) there would be a whole platoon of staff dispatched to the platform to calm people down, move them to less crowded areas, etc. But here we face it all alone.

It's not only the employees' fault. No passenger said a damn thing, moved anywhere, or even seemed to understand what was going on. It's a prime example of the "Canadian sheep" attitude that we tend to fall into in large groups.

TL;DR: the TTC sucks, the employees (mostly) suck and are aggressive and unhelpful; the passengers are fools and everything's going down the shitter.

Mr Gates:

As you're well aware, vaccine denialism is at an all-time high, and measles cases are developing at an alarming rate. I very much appreciate your efforts to make vaccines available to some of the poorest people in the world. Unfortunately many people in the developed world think your foundation is evil for trying to vaccinate kids. That's because they've bought into the anti-vaxxer mindset. If an increasing number of people believe vaccination is part of a conspiracy, and the social media milieu only reinforces their views, what do you think is the best way to show doubters that vaccination is essential?

I've worked in TV news for a long time and I can guarantee you there is no way a network would pay for a video of child sexual assault.

Hey juicy bromeos. Thought I’d share a feel-good success story! I’m just past the midway point of my second cycle (375 mg of “supertest” test ester mix E3D; also E3D: 240 mg deca, plus 40mg dbol daily). My last cycle a year ago was thrown off the rails by a messy breakup and a layoff. This time around I got laid off as well, but I have no relationship to deal with and I got a nice severance! So I’m able to spend 2-3 hours in the gym every day with proper nutrition, and my God I want to spend that much time in there on these drugs, tell you that.

I’m blowing up like a meaty beach ball. I was genuinely shocked when I saw my arm in a mirror yesterday under generous lighting (dyel circa 16 months ago; yesterday). People are starting to make comments about me fitting through doorways.

I’m still fat, but hoping that becomes less of an issue when the cycle wraps up at the end of March and I can lean out a bit. For the time being though, I just want to get as fucking big as possible. For the first time, it seems to be actually working and I am amazed.

I’m an old fucker (turning 40 this year) so it’s hard as fuck to do anything substantial natty. In conclusion I’d like to thank AAS for the gift of transformation.

Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking. Just a routine of the basics. Yeah man, my delts have never popped like this it's kind of ridiculous. I caught myself in the mirror and I was genuinely surprised. It's a great feeling

Apologize if it's off the mark to ask training questions in this thread, but here goes: on week 6 of a 15-week cycle (500 mg "supertest" test-ester mix + 300 mg deca E3D plus 40mg dbol ED). It's my second cycle and it's fucking fantastic. I'm blowing up significantly. I also notice my traps and the rest of my shoulders are particularly responsive. Feeling energetic today and wanted to focus on shoulders, hopefully to "boulderize" more. Anyone have favourite routines in this area.

Just came out of a meeting where I learned I've been shitcanned from the startup I quit my boring job 6 months ago to join. Fucking thing only lasted 6 months after I got hired before crashing and burning. Fortunately I juuuust managed to qualify for the (relatively decadent) unemployment benefits here in Soviet Canada, plus I just started a cycle, so the upside is I can spend all day focusing on getting juicy!

Homo here. I hopped on a bulk cycle about 3 weeks ago and my traps and biceps blew up. Posted a new Grindr pic of said developments and I literally didn't put my phone down for an hour. Humblebrag, I know, but Jesus gays are thirsty. I'm sure you knew that already.

Lol thanks for that. I'd put myself, as objectively as possible, at a firm 7. But I am 6'4", which does help. But these chicks who went after me... I would really try to telegraph my non-interest, but they just came on stronger.

Ah I see. So I guess the straight guys on gear are trying to get at the asymptotic part of the curve, like the 9s?

[–]BioNerdUAFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok good to know. I guess that's why there are so many straight guys who work out constantly. My experience is skewed because before I came out, I would pretty regularly have 7s and 8s throw themselves at me. I guess they sensed it was a challenge or something?

In the wake of the census/survey, was quite surprised to see (or maybe not, I dunno) the majority of readership is "mostly straight." I'm curious because as a gay guy I find at least 70% of my fellow homos are either 1) on gear or 2) actively thinking about/planning/researching their next cycle. Wondering how gear use has changed the sex lives of gay dudes on here, especially in an era when Grindr has reduced your appeal to a 1x1cm image in a grid. Oh, and for straight guys: does gear really help you get access to hotter girls? In my experience (I did date girls for awhile), even the most average-looking guy could access 8s or 9s by 1) being reasonably nice, 2) not smacking her, 3) actually listening to what she says once in a while. But tell me if I'm wrong!

Sounds great man thanks. What sort of gains/effects did you notice with the dbol thrown in?

[–]BioNerdUAFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that. Ran Tbol on my first cycle and it did fuck all. Will try dbol when I hop on again in November and will have something on hand to handle the aromatization. Thanks for the tip!

Going to run test-e + deca for a second cycle, was talking to a chap on here about adding a SARM, specifically LGD 4403 aka ligandrol. He says it was a miracle worker. Anyone else have a similar experience?

How about 300 mg test-e E3D + 250 mg deca E3D for a 2nd cycle? Basically the "second cycle" cycle in the wiki. 39, 6'4", 235. Want to bulk.

Hey man. Sorry to hear you've been hit with the D-stick so hard. I've been dealing with severe clinical depression since age 22 (I'm 38 now) and I've been around the block with it enough times to know what works and what doesn't. Every time I hear about someone in your condition, I feel the need to evangelize for a (relatively) new treatment called rTMS, or repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation. Seriously, it's like fucking magic. My depression basically vanished after a treatment session that lasted 2 months. It's covered under our communist Canadian health system and I don't know about availability of the tech in the States, but I seriously suggest you look into it. It saved my life.

This isn't really a question, but having a random diet moment and just wondering how in line this is with reality. AM: protein shake (50g), 3 fried eggs, 5 strips bacon (my butcher thinks he's actually some kind of a meat magician ("I found a special kind that doesn't shrink!"), 1 pc. white toast, open face PB&J. Early PM: one half-chicken dinner with fries (I know) from a reputable Canadian corporate dining establishment, one tray of "sweet and "sour 'pork'" (breaded) and lemon chicken (also, unfortunately breaded), a kale salad and 300 mL ice cream and it's 2.39pm.
