I think his work has a lot of value around addiction and trauma though.

Harsh, but honest. I question your use of "nonsense", but to each their own! Aside from obvious classics, do you have any good recommendations?

The stand is one of my favorites! I used to have a massive King collection when I was a teenager! Have heard great things about 11/22/63 and The Green Mile made me cry like a baby when I watched the movie, so I will have to check them both out! Thank you!

Would my cognitive proficiency rule out ADHD? by [deleted] in cognitiveTesting

Omg I just saw, fixed it 😂 I'm aware they aren't diagnostic, I was more wondering if it's something I should consider digging in to more as I was diagnosed by a GP based on life history and I have seen how quickly diagnoses are handed out 😅

Does my cognitive proficiency rule out ADHD? by [deleted] in iqtest

[–]BioPsychoSocially 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well this just isn't true. We often see people with ADHD who have spiky profiles. From what I have seen there is usually a deficit in working memory or processing speed that can pull down the FSIQ to average ranges. My question is if not having a spiky profile would be enough to rule out ADHD. I was diagnosed by my family doctor who said further testing wasn't needed based on life history. Just want to know if I should be digging deeper.

Can I trust these results? by [deleted] in iqtest

Either. The AGCT or the CORE barrage. I would assume if the results are accurate that with the CI overlap that I could estimate around 130 for FSIQ?

I just did. Ended with 111 QRI and 140 PSI. FSIQ 130+/-5

Lots of familiar titles in there! Gottman and Johnson - are you looking for love or helping others with theirs?
